Hey Shel! It is so good to hear from you! When is this concert? Sounds awesome!!!
I am going to Chicago next week and have been taking weekend classes, so golf has not been on the front burner--but I sure do miss it and mostly I miss my golf buds.
Thanks for the b-day song! lol! How have you been??
Hey dear...you know I feel for you and you're always in my prayers...I still haven't gotten a date yet for the pro/am...when is it? I don't even think Lars has a date yet...we need all that stuff so we can start making discs/shirts and stuff...I'm online for a bit if you want to chat...already messaged you this morning
Hey Shel! Tomorrow is my last day in Norman. I'm sorry that we didn't hoof up for a round or two, but when they scheduled my class from 9 to 6 it really blew my off time schedule. I only played 3 rounds while out here - two at Griffin and one at Colonial Estates. The first time out I went to Lions, but it was covered up with players. I went on over to Griffin from there and it was empty. It looks like the locals like Lions, then CE, and finally Griffin. I personally like Griffin, the Lions, and finally CE. But I really do like all three courses. I'm just sorry that we didn't get together. I don't know when I'll be in Norman again. But if I get a better schedule maybe we can get in a round then.
Hey you...I've met so many people at events in the past two years, so names and faces are still a little jumbled...I only knew miranda by face but not by her name...my bad...hope your weekend in pawhuska becomes a reality...luv ya
I totally understand the money issue/ single mom thing. If I had some extra $, I'd sponsor ya! It'd be fun- Shel & Duh's disc golf tour, lotsa road trips!
& I don't blame you for not moving up- all in good time, right. Wish I felt like my game was there, but as you could see last weekend, I lack some confidence/focus. Maybe I'll get my game together in time for Worlds.
Robin (she played pro last weekend) & I talked about it a bit. She has been playing pro for over a year now & still doesn't feel she can compete well; she doesn't have a huge arm or a long drive. I think you're in the same boat as her- kinda damd if you do, damd if you don't.
I know you got called a bagger at the tourny, I know how much that sucks, cuz the guys around here watched me win every tourny I played in last year. Even if I only won by a couple strokes, they don't care.
I hope you don't think I was upset, I told you right out- you're awesome & can kick my butt anytime.
Good luck in Pawhuska! I'll be cheerin ya on!
I read on the clubhouse page that you are not going to the Glass Blown...another option would be the unsanctioned Chandlerstock Tournament (aka: Tornado open). Make the trip to T-Town (I am sure there are others from Norman/OKC that are making the trip). The weekend of Chandlerstock is the only time you can camp in the park all year. Reduced entry fees for women. Got to www.tulsadiscsports.org for more info.
