With conditions like that it is a real crap shoot. How did you do? BTW it has been in the 60s the last few days and I wore myself out playing yesterday. I played for 3 1/2 hours straight between putting practice, a round of doubles and another single round that we had to finish in the dark. I played F.P. Sunday and scored a P.B. -7. I birdied holes #1,#2 and #14 for the first time and all in the same round.
The snow is finally melting and is almost gone. I came in fourth at the tournament at Deming on saturday, shot a +2. It was windy and freezing cold, I finished behind Pete Wilson, Rob Sparks and Jason Labella. Played at Forest Park yesterday for the first time since I played with you in Nov. I shot a -3. Some of the tees had snow and ice on them at F.P. I shoveled what snow and ice was left at Deming on Friday before our tournament. Now the ground is a soupy mess but at least the weather is getting better:)
Colts shirt, people in N.O. give you crap, Saints shirt - people in IN give you crap, you can't win can you lol. we have had snow on the ground here since dec. 31. We were supposed to get another 6" but they changed the forecast. Now it's supposed to go north of here and we are supposed to get rain. I don't mind playing in the cold but it is too easy to lose a disc in the snow. I haven't played in over a month and am going through severe withdrawals. The last time I played we were playing doubles and there were several times when all six of us spent several minutes looking for discs. I'm hoping the snow we have on the ground melts before we have our tournament here next weekend.
Good luck at those tournaments and on moving up to advanced. I noticed your wearing a Saints shirt in one of your photos, I thought you were a Colts fan? I thought the Super Bowl was pretty good until the end. The Saints deserved to win and I don't think anybody could have coached that game any better than Sean Payton did.
It warmed back up into the 30's but between tonight and monday we are supposed to get between 3" - 12" of snow with some ice first. I have a stingray that goes pretty straight but its DX plastic so it probably won't be consistent very long. My next door neighbor found it in her front yard and traded me for a regular frisbee. It didn't have a name or number on it. Still if somebody told what it was and where they may of lost it I would give it up. So I may be in the market for a Mako. Laura and I went to the Basket Case - disc golf store in Indy - a couple of weeks ago. It wasn't in the best part of town but they did have a good selection of discs, colors and weights. I was able to get the discs I was looking for, an R Pro Boss - because I don't have a cannon like some guys - and a champion wraith, plus an Innova hat and a towel. Tell your dad there is a Freeze Through the Trees tournament here at Deming on Feb. 27
60 degrees! Oh Wah! I've only played 5 rounds this month. I did get a round in last Sunday, it got all the way up in the 40's, very windy though and I scored a +8 and that was with 2 birdies. Right now it is 22 degrees with a strong wind.
Go Colts! My wife, Laura, gets to work with them when they are at training camp at Rose Hulman. Laura started at Rose Hulman in 2005 and I tell our freinds that the Colts just needed Laura to make them mean enough to win the Super Bowl. Now, back to what's really important in life - disc golf, I enjoyed your thread about always winning the same plastic and some of the responses were pretty funny.
Hey Eric,
Have you been playing Forest Park lately. I haven't been there since the end of Nov. I was wondering if it is a swamp this time of year (when it isn't frozen)? I shot my personal best -7 at Deming today. The last time I played Forest Park was with you, Bill B. Charlie B and some kids and you shot like -8 and dominated!
