Hi, Bill.
Just saw your comment. I haven't checked my page in a while.
The disc is probably not mine, but if it's GREEN I'll take it!
Last time I was in Azusa I was playing with my dog.
Thanks anyway,
Wil
Hey Bill - Friday was probably one of my best rounds ever at Morley. 8 under and no putt for par longer than 5 or 6 feet. It felt pretty good. Always fun to play DG with you and your boys!!
Sun Valley is in for the IB Series. What about Palm Desert?
I haven't heard anything about Moreno Valley disc golf in a while. Have you by chance? This Saturday their holding Riversides first monthly at 11a.m. If you can make it great or spread the word I would appreciate it.
Hey Bill,
Good job to you and your boys at the Sun Valley Tourney! Are you going to do the Masters at La Mirada - didn't see your name? I'm going to play (recent 'old-guys' club member :) Hope you can make it.
I will talk to Robin today to see if he is interested in them, I do want one of the Rocs 176ish. Just let me know the price and we can make arrangements to meet. I should be in Redlands on July 4th and 5th. My wife will be in town on Sunday. So just reply and we can meet up or Robin can get them from you. Robin lost his champ destroyer at La mirada and has been looking to replace it.
We're down to one 175g Champ Destroyer but we have four each of the Ontario Rocs in 180g and 176ishg. Let me know what you'd like. Can get them to Robin easily enough.
Thanks, ya I think the broken foot helped me win that tournment. I played smarter. Do you have any champion destroyers or star ontario rocs from the ice bowls or any disc's your willing to sell. If you do, let me know I'm looking for a few things and RObin is aswell. I plan on playing Wrightwood and made try walking it on the 5th of July if my foot lets me.
Not only did you break your foot but you won while hobbling, if I read things correctly. Congrats! Way to represent.
We had a real good time on Saturday, the heat notwithstanding (112 degrees but who's counting). Raised $295 for the Boys/Girls Club of Redlands.
You would have had some competition. Skill levels ranged considerably, but four of us were in double digits under through the 27 holes. Tim Caldwell shot -17, I shot -15, Felipe Arango shot -12 and Paul Chapman was -10.
Continues to support my theory that a good mid-range pitch n putt course has its place. Makes people make shots.
Hope you heal. Any chance you'll be ready in time for Wrightwood? Nice for us IE people to not have to drive forever.
How did the tournment go at Ford Park this past weekend? Sorry I couldn't go, I broke my foot at Morley on the 13th of June and its pretty tough trying to play competitive disc golf since then. I'm just practicing my puts from a chair these days.
SVO_Flier_2008.pdfI saw this entry form for the Sun Valley Open in September and thought you might want to jump on it because there are only 72 am. slots availble and it is already 1/9 full.
Hi Bill, Thanks for coming out yesterday. We get encouranged when we see you out there playing or promoting events. We cleared the arrows as best as possible.
Thanks againg and Hope to see you out there soon. Please send me the email for the discs.
Bill,
for that tourney, is it going to be the old Redlands lay out or the 18 hole course they have been playing during the week on Wednesdays or Thursdays. I really like that 18 hole layout they made up. It actually makes me want to play Redlands because of the difficulty that comes with that layout, super challenging. It would for sure thin the pack and make it difficult to finish under. Even if it was just one round.
No go on Morley for us, it's Marybeth and my 20th college reunion weekend. Nothing any further on MoValley, but Steve and I haven't been focusing on that. We will be doing our "Spring into Summer fling" on June 21 at Ford, one week after Morley. Casual tourney in collaboration with the Redlands Boys and Girls Club, free for kids in the morning, $15 for adults in the afternoon for three rounds starting at 3pm. All of this pending final ok from the city this morning. Then more info will go out.
Bill, Morley is getting full for the summer fling. Already 64 people have signed up out of the 90 slots available. Any news about the Moreno Valley disc golf coure? Let me know. Thanks
Are you playing in any of the socal events anytime some. I'm playing in the next three or all the ones in March. If you are going to any of the tournments maybe I can catch you there. I now work Monday - Friday in Oceanside at camp pendleton. So I cannot make any of the lunch time weeklys. Email me if you ever want to play a round in Oceanside or on the weekend sometime. I am currently living in Sun city, right past Perris. So I'm thirty minutes from REdlands. Take care and hope to see you on a course some.
