Yeah, that's a good idea. I'll have to add some pictures to my page. The slide show you've got, made me miss Oregon. I am one of 4 designers on this new course. There is so much potential out at the property. What's new with disc golf in Eugene?
Oh yeah! Home Team representing. You get to see the boys out at The Gorge, pretty sweet I bet. Those shots you got in your photos look amazing! There's nothing like that around here. Would love to make out there sometime.
Yo Will, It's funny you mentioned Sladden. I was just talking about that place yesterday, and how great it was to be able to putt there 24/7. I hope the city of Eugene pulls their head out of their ass soon, concerning disc golf. It is amazing how much red tape that town can dish out. Hey, do you have any thoughts on how the Oakway & Laurlewood courses have worked out. I'm curious because, I might end up helping a ball golf course add
disc golf to their property. If you ever get down to this neck of the woods let me know, you have a place to stay as well.
Hey Will -
I don't think you are on the EDGC Yahoo group, but a Dexter Dog roadtrip to Whistler's Bend is planned for Monday, president's day. I'm lucky enough to have the day off! Also - I'm looking for a partner for April Fool's Doubles at Adair on March 29th...let me know if you'e interested in either. Cheers.
Hey Wilbur, I'm still in Monterey. I've been working with my local club (The Monterey Stinging Jellies...I know it's kind of a lame name) down here, getting courses put in. We got in a course last April. It's called Don Dahvee Park. It's location is great exposure for the sport. It's in a park that you have to drive past and through to get to the biggest shopping mall in Monterey. I also designed some of the course. I'm really excited about this new 70 acre plot of land that is EPIC! It is really cool because I've been asked to be one of the main designers. There is a ton of great elevation to use. The trees look like they were planted by some disc golf deity. There is a nice restaurant, that the 27 hole course will go by at some point in the round. The city council loved what we did last year, and they had originally offered us the 70 acre plot, so it seems like a go. I could go on and on, but I won't. The Otter open is happening on Feb. 23 & 24, at the Oaks & Cypress courses at CSUMB. The Otter is the biggest tournament played on any of my home courses. How are things up in Eugene. Take care Wilbur!
Well, we bundle up and golf anyway. Hand warmers, ear muffs, mittens, gators, snowsuits, whatever it takes to keep on golfing. We have winter league in Sisters on Sundays if you are ever around. Its not that far from Eugene and its a blast. I moved to Portland though...
The SOWS event at Whistler's Bend will be on Feb. 24 not 17. My bad. Hope to see some Dexter Dogs and other Eugene players at the event. What's this I hear about Laurelwood being pulled up? I haven't even got to play it yet! I almost went with some Eugene club members last time I was up.
Dude hey, what day is it. uhh. Whats going onnn. MMm coffees starting to kick in. Hows it been brah, my interweb connection is spotty. some days it works others it doesnt. Sweet laurelwood wont be around for much longer. Lets get some throws in before its gone.
