Happy Birthday Brianna! My name is Murray Gordon or as the PDGA goes Murray "Flash" Gordon and to DGRUS Murr the Blurr...I have built an 18 hole disc golf course although the back nine are still under construction and I am 1 km away from Little Manitou Lake which is 10 times saltier than the Ocean and you can float like an astronaut in space in the water! You are welcome to bring a carload up to my course should you ever make it to Saskatchewan, Canada. Murray Disc Golf is the course and to view it go to http://www.aadtek.com/discgolf/index.htm My site needs work but with time I hope to have it upgraded soon. Hey, have a good one ,eh...

On behalf of Juliana Korver, I am honored to announce her inaugural ladies-only disc golf event: Juliana Korver Presents La Vie en Rose.

This unique event will take place February 14-15, 2009
at The Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak, FL.

In Juliana’s words:

"Are you curious why this disc golf adventure has the name that it does? Literally La Vie en Rose translates to “the life in rose”. The English equivalent to this is “life through rose-tinted glasses” or even “life is rosy”.

If someone looks at something through rose-tinted glasses, they see only the pleasant parts of it. It is a way of life. It is an attitude that I aspire to maintain.

La Vie en Rose is a disc golf event that intends to combine many of the pleasant tournament aspects that we have experienced over the years as well as present new ones that will create a wonderful, memorable and rosy weekend.

This event is about warm fuzzies, feeling good and friendship. I hope that you all can experience the weekend through rose-tinted glasses and perhaps even take the attitude home with you to help you appreciate all that is good in life.

This will truly be a unique weekend that I hope and expect you will love."

Juliana has made the initial event announcement in person at the U.S. Women’s Disc Golf Championships and on the PDGA discussion board. For lots more information visit the tournament website:

Shawn Harrigan and I are the Co-TD’s for this event. We’d love to have your input, assistance, and sponsorship. Please e-mail mritner@yahoo.com if you are inclined to help Florida welcome the ladies of disc golf to a wonderful weekend of competition and comradery.

As of today, these are the registered players:
Juliana Korver - Bowling Green, KY
Brandi Laudermilch - Spring Hill, FL
Addie Isbell - Modoc, SC
Angela Tschiggfrie - Iowa
Val Jenkins - Ohio
Pam Reineke - Orlando, FL
Sandy Gast - Orlando, FL
Sarah Stanhope - Greenville, SC

Yours In Flight,
Mark “Denny” Ritner

Yeah, I was wondering about that. It's been a while since I've got to play at Women's Wednesday! Please do let me know if you're in town, that would be fun!

How did the tournament go for you this weekend? Did you play as well as you wanted to?
At 1:05pm on June 11, 2008, essjay said…
uhh, okay so I just looked at Shavonne's page and got my answer... see ya there! I also invited a chick from Eugene (Beth) so we'll see if we can draw some of them from down there. With a 6 pm start time, it seems like even those who work could make it in time. or close anyway. :)

Hey! Ladies tonight??? We're finally back in town :) Hope to hear from you to confirm, but if I don't I'll be down there anyway. not like it's far to go, hehe.

Thanks for the info for Whistler's this Sunday. As of right now, I think I should be the smarter person and pass on Sunday. I have projects and classwork to do, that hasn't been finished at the times I was hoping! Thanks for inviting me though!

Hope you have a great time, and a good end-of-term yourself! See you at the next Women's Wednesday at Willamette! :D

I'm sorry you didn't hit the time you wanted, but way to stay positive about it! And I will definitely be there for the first "Women's Wednesdays at Willamette," great name!!
Kambria isn't competing any more this season, it's season's end so now she's just getting ready for her summer training. I'll be sure to introduce you sometime, because you could have a hard time finding her in a crowd if you're looking for someone who looks like me:)

Hey! I'm really curious about how you did at the Oregon Twighlight Meet..... let me know sometime:)

So I've been thinking about this Wednesday night golf thing we want to start.... like what to call it besides "Ladies' Night" which I agree with you, sounds trashy. We could translate it to french so it's "Nuit de Femme" or something like that:) I don't know what to call it, but I am thinking about it!

Hey this is Nicole who plays in Eugene.
This Sunday after the Westmoreland disc club meeting I will be out at ol' Westy with everyone to play around before I have to be at work at two. Other then that we should definitely hook up and play.
