Hi Heather, I was wondering if you had heard about or are planning on playing the Spokane Chilly Bowl on Sat. Jan. 31. It's our 7th Annual Ice Bowl tournament to benefit the Food Bank. You can get a entry at www.sdga.us. See you there if you come.
Hi, I like ur profile photo. Did you do it yourself? I just started doing some art lsimilar to this; I use photo's of slides I take in my lab of bone and muscle and make pictures of flora...I call it osteoflora. I haven't figured out good program on my computer, what do you use? It looks like you may do this by hand. It's awesome....have a good day!!

On behalf of Juliana Korver, I am honored to announce her inaugural ladies-only disc golf event: Juliana Korver Presents La Vie en Rose.
This unique event will take place February 14-15, 2009
at The Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak, FL.
In Juliana’s words:
"Are you curious why this disc golf adventure has the name that it does? Literally La Vie en Rose translates to “the life in rose”. The English equivalent to this is “life through rose-tinted glasses” or even “life is rosy”.
If someone looks at something through rose-tinted glasses, they see only the pleasant parts of it. It is a way of life. It is an attitude that I aspire to maintain.
La Vie en Rose is a disc golf event that intends to combine many of the pleasant tournament aspects that we have experienced over the years as well as present new ones that will create a wonderful, memorable and rosy weekend.
This event is about warm fuzzies, feeling good and friendship. I hope that you all can experience the weekend through rose-tinted glasses and perhaps even take the attitude home with you to help you appreciate all that is good in life.
This will truly be a unique weekend that I hope and expect you will love."
Juliana has made the initial event announcement in person at the U.S. Women’s Disc Golf Championships and on the PDGA discussion board. For lots more information visit the tournament website:

Shawn Harrigan and I are the Co-TD’s for this event. We’d love to have your input, assistance, and sponsorship. Please e-mail mritner@yahoo.com if you are inclined to help Florida welcome the ladies of disc golf to a wonderful weekend of competition and comradery.

I think it would be great fun to host an ice bowl. And at Sunnyside for sure. I can talk to the kids running the U of I club now and see what kind of money they would like to throw towards some plastic for the tourney. Might-as-well get us some ice bowl swag
See you in 2 weekends. If you don't have a place to stay for the Nuclear Meltdown, you and your husband are welcome to stay with us. We have a full basement that has 2 bedrooms and a living room that never get used. Have a great week!!
well...things went great for the meeting this past Wednesday and look good for this coming Wed. Plus the WIngs WON!!!! and I only missed 5 minutes of the game.
We had an additional 6 folks show up on Wed. so looks like we should have at least 10 for leagues. We'll see you two on Wed. the 11th @ 6:15PM for the start of Leagues. Bring $15 a piece for league sign up, plus $5/each for the daily payout.
See ya'll out there
We will be there at Ft. Steilacoom and also Nuclear Meltdown. We arrive in Michigan on August 8th around 3:30PM. My cell number is 509-302-0010. Call me when you are ready to play. Take care and see you at Ft. Steilacoom.
Just thought I would try to get ahold of you two before you came all the way over here. I will still be going out today to meet folks, but it will be real quick since I need to get back to the Wings game. So Ill let ya know how it goes if I dot see you today. GO WINGS!
Sorry for such a long follow-up, been real occupied with work and the Red Wings playoffs. Im gonna put up some posters this week at U of I and Sunny Side hoping I can get some folks together on Sunday at 2pm to play a round, and talk about leagues. Are you two gonna be around for that? Are ya still interested in 6pm Leagues on Tuesdays or Wednesdays depending on what is decided?
Hi Joe -
Looks like Jon & I will be around for the U of I tourney. I've spread the word around also - hopefully I've recruited two new players. Jon says he would be more than happy to help out. I really need to get him his own page :)
HI there, wasnt sure if I mentioned the May 4th tourney at UofI to you too. $10 registration with advanced and intermediate divisions. Start is 2pm. Wone be too intense, just another tourney to get some kids involved around UofI
Bummer I didnt get out this week, so busy...but really looking forward to a weekend of discin. Ill be up there tonight (Friday) probably playing the course until around 8 or so, give me a call if you guys get lucky and get up there early and want to throw a few before checking in. Otherwise, see you on Saturday...Ill be wearing a blue collar shirt with U of I Disc Golf on the back.
Yea, Im thinking Ill be traveling up on Friday for a couple of rounds after work, I havent been up there since last year. Might just stay for free in a hiden spot in the samll town of BayView very close by. Its pretty much a logging road, adn Ill stay in the back of my truck. The park also has some tent sites. Your welcome to join me if you two are interested in traveling up on Friday???or are you thinking of staying over Saturday night?
Hey Heather, finally got my page up. Just about settled on the form of leagues for the spring and summer. I think we'll attempt a handicap series, starting at 6:00pm on a week night. Any particular day of the week the two of you are unavailable?
