Let me know if your travels lead you to/by the NW part of VA. If you are going to cincy form Florida you will probably head up I 81 to the PA turnpike. If you are in the area I would definitely throw a round with you.
Thanks Mr. Ed. Glad you guys got such a big turnout for the Ice Bowl. Also Thanks for doing the Putting program with me have you guys gave me a lot of motivation. Do you ever make it back up to VA to throw? I am hoping to make the Mountain Jam at Walnut Creek this year.
Mr. Ed......So nice to hear from you on the Blog......yes we've been playing tons...In spite of the snow and horrible conditions, we continue to improvise and play on. ......Unfortunately, due to unknown conditions, Cubby has been AWOL from the gang. We continue to play on Sunday mornings with Rob, Max Tim, Tom and others....my email is maggotx@gmail.com whenever I want to contact you I don't have your email so I can only Blog post or go through a post like this. I will check out Rip Disc....I have also been using new putters,.....I now swear by the Vibram X-Link Summit.....this is the best putter ever....try it out...and it's not cheap they go for like 15-17 per disc...my facebook is mpmeh contact and friend me....as you say ...peace out....mag
Yeah, I would have liked to have been there. I did go yesterday and saw that the baskets were moved a bit.. (The moved ones don't seem as challenging as they were.. I kind of liked how they were before, but I won't complain about a little increased "Birdieability"). I'll have to check out the ABC discs.
thanks ED just getting back into the sport haven't played in 15+ years , can't throw my old disc bad arm got some 150 thinking would my backhand still couldn't throw them right went forehand much better but I think the are to light I over power them need to find the right weight sorry to be on the long side ,I hope to get down your way thanks again
Howdy Mr. Ed. Just saw your post about New Orleans City Park today (this website's still new to me)...the new course is about 10 miles from the airport, but only 4 miles from Bourbon Street! Hope to see y'all down here soon.
Thanks for the update Ed! It will be nice when they have a permanent course at Okeehelee. For now, I have to drive 35/40 minutes south to Tradewinds in Pompano whenever I'm down that way.
I heard somewhere that the PGA course was removed a year or two ago.. Not 100% on that, but the last time I drove by it I noticed they removed the baskets close to the road due to new football/soccer fields that were put in. I played it once or twice a few years back but it didn't look like disc golf was winning the territory battle on the park grounds.
Hey Ed my daughter Elizabeth and her boyfriend Kurt will be back in Punta Gorda Sat evening or Sun the 16th after a short trip to Miami give them a call if theres any doubles going on the next few days or if your up for a round 313-999-1571 Kurts # He was very inpressed with the N Port Char course.
I think it's pretty standard DG bag material; heavy duty belt with grommets, 5-pockets ( mine is a custom 4-pocket 'cause I'm vertically challenged--the designer is 6'5" or something so the standard was a 5-pocket), with elastics, plus mini pocket--optional disc 'fly' for rainy weather. It holds 8-9 discs comfortably and remarkably easy to get used to -- nothing more to carry.....except a frosty beverage!
