Brian! Thnks again for the use of your stingray. Its been a great dis so far for me. let me know if you'd like it back anytime (I'll need to upgrade to a star plastic stingray if I want to keep it in any kind of good shape.)
My first ace... NO ONE SAW :( hahaha. It came at Morley back when I used to ditch school and go play 4-5 rounds when I should of been in high school. 320ft downhill, across a ravine. It took me about 2 years before I hit my first, then another 5 before #2!!!!! I skip aced hole 8 at La Mirada back last October; at least that one was witnessed. My third came in December, at the Doubles tournament in Santa Maria.
So about an ACE!: dude they are fluke shots. Most Aces are bad shots that would fly 50' past the basket but end up hitting chains/metal. Some people go for the Ace more than take the correct lay-up shot, and end up with pars or bogey's instead of easy birdies. Which to me is more important, getting the birdies instead of easy par's.
"How long did you have to wait? " No one waits for an ace, its not realistic to think that anyone will throw an ace AT ALL. they just dont work like that. With the right motion/technique you'll be throwing the right shot each time. that right shot may or may not ever go in. Keep working on your throws, The rest will come with time.
I went out to Chavez Ridge for their Ice Bowl dude. Probably shouldnt have played but for how much we were at El Do I didnt think it would be that bad. the hills killed me on upshots.. darn shoulder.......!
Welcome welcome welcome, one and all! Troutner, its been great to see your quick improvement this past couple months. Dude you have the drive to go farrrrrrrr like a 700+ ft roller with a Stingray.
