Go to Valueplace.com on your computer. There are three of them in the area.
You can stay there for one week at $179.00 plus tax with a $100.00 security deposit. Refundable at the end of your stay...if you pass room inspection.
There is a two burner stove and fridge in the room as well. If you don't mind cheapness...this is an excellent value. Who knows there may be one in A2 you can check out.
Thanks for the positive comments.
As far as the tee pads...it seems there are a ton more players than volunteers. Being retired..my aim (in the disc golf community) is not solely to be a good disc golfer, but to give something more to the sport and it's players. Even if it means clearing off teepads after a snow or clearing them before an ice bowl tourney. Just the little things that most discers don't really think about. I even try to connect people to there lost discs...if I find them.
I have a couple of small local fundraisers coming up the 28th. (Fort Custer) & 29th.(M-A-Rob's FOP tourney) of this month and plan on playing some Michigan tournies leading up to Worlds'09 in Kansas City. Do you know where your staying yet? If not...I have an idea.
Again...congrats on your fine finish at Kimball which gives you a berth in the MDGC in September.
Hey Pat sorry for the phone tag, please take a moment to look at the designs that we currently have on the DGRUS site and let me know which of them you like. We are still taking about the prospect of sponsoring you this year and things look good, however I don't want to promise any thing yet as I don't have the full blessing of all involved parties. With that being said if there is a chance that we will be providing you with gear I would like to know which designs you like the most. These are the ones that we are negotiating with Marshall Street Disc Golf and are the ones that I would like you to look at:
Spade skull (2)
Striper Pole (3)
50’s pinup (8)
Bone Basket (9)
Rock Star (11)
Please give me a call when you have the chance as I would like to talk more about your plans for this season and the goals that you have set for yourself.
Thought I'd respond first since I'm just hangin out on the computer looking over DGRus and PDGA.com. Thnks for pulling me out of the crowd and introducing yourself. Most discers would not do that. Ha...I felt am and fuzzy inside. It was nice to meet you.
Congrats on your fine finish at the Lumberjack Open. Kind of miserable day, but the sun came out towards the end which was cool.
For myself...read my bio. I enjoy tournament play, but am not a newbie to it. My glory days ( running, swimming, biking, triathlons) are behind me with disc golf being my present retirement activity. I really like this disc golf community. I have alot to learn before I reach the Legends division (in nine years). Thinking about trying out courses on the eastern part of the state. Like yours fo one. I have played both Hudson Mills and Rolling Hills one time. Thinking about Worlds in K.C this summer. Playing in the Senior Grandmaster division.
Anyway...thanks again for introducing yourself. I hope our disc golf paths cross again sometime in the near future. Remember in tournament play...there are players and there are pretenders.
Congratulations on your finish at the LJ Open, and thanks again for the plugging us. You look good in our apparel and if we are able to work things out we will be looking forward to building a partnership with you this season.
