SIr William, we were just talking about you today at the Memorial Open. Somehow it didn't seem right without you there. We had 21 players, plenty of discs in the water and loads of fun. The Old Guy (a.k.a. me) won the Open division, Derek Radke (U.W.S.P. Ace Hole) the Advanced, Timmy Lowe the Intermediate and Drew Barens the Juniors.
Open and Advanced tees were lots deeper on #3, #5, #6 and #9, with #4 playing from a tee halfway to #5 basket. I came real close to deucing #2 three rounds in a row. Crazy thing was, I shot a 48 in the first round despite 4's on my first 4 holes! No aces, but lots were close. (Last week at leagues Carl W. hit #9 dead on for what looked like a sure $104 in ace money, but it kicked out).
We made about $150 for course improvements today. First goal is to re-anchor the pins at Memorial ... they're all tipped sideways from years of use. Mikey Leiterman won the top TWO raffle prizes ... a sweet Innova bag and a stack of Champion discs.
Real sorry to hear about your grandma, Willy, I know you were close. Hope you're not tiring of the sun and warmth.
