"And man how do you throw a Roc 400ft I can get about 300 with my champs.Any advice would be priceless. Also what about just raw distance I max out at 410-415."
I will tell you that it all comes down to flawless technique to generate the speed and power to throw distance shots. When throwing Rocs it is all about the power and height of release, they need to thrown slightly higher then many drivers. For the fact they have lot more dome therefore have a lot more carry but they need to have some height to do so to flight the furthest. The thing with Rocs is that you really don't need to throw much longer then 350-400 feet, they are midrange meant to be throw on medium length shots.
For all-out max distance it is all about the quickest, smoothest technique. I sure that you have seen some young, skinny kids just bombing shots, its because they have very little restriction in their arm speed and are very flexible in arm extension to the follow-through. My advice is to work on arm-speed and power without losing any type of body or shot control. Keep you body movements very controlled and tight, but make sure that you keep your arm very loose until the time that you pull the shot across your chest. At that moment you should tighten down and aggressively pull the disc across all the way through until you release with your arm extension toward the target, then following the momentum to the follow-through to uncoil. Make sure to lead your shot with your elbow and follow-through with your hip coming around and your leg swing to a position in front of you. Take it to the field, it the best place to refine your technique and build to increase distance. I have just begun my pre-season this past week with lots of field sessions and rounds on the course in preparation for the new season of tournaments. Remember to keep it as simple as possible and go with what produces the best outcomes. I hope all of this helps, best of luck with your practice routine and keep me posted on your progress. Take care.

So here's the deal, I have those 5 11X KC Rocs (8X mold) that we have discussed earlier that I am willing to get rid of because I don't throw that particular run. There are 2 that I got off your buddy Rusco that he dyed, one with an abstract purple and the other with the US flag. They are all in new, unthrown condition with 4 of them being Max weight 180 and the other 1 at 179.

Hey David I'm still throwing that one! I have pictures mixed in there of ones in my bag too! its a 2005 usdgc. I tried to make a separate album for the "selling" discs but for some reason I had issues getting the second album populated!
Its not about the tops so much, its that they have more of a curved lip on them in comparison. What it comes down to is that they have a straighter flight, which is the best thing in the world, if that what you are looking for in a Roc. Always down for some trades, what you got for KC Aviars or old aviars in general?
Yeah, I have been on a mission to build up my back-up stock of throwing Rocs. I got lots now, should last me a few weeks or so. I do got some that I could part with. First off do you know the difference between the two molds of 11X Rocs? They have the Rancho mold and the 8X mold, they made less Rocs in the 8X mold for sure. I have at least 5 of those that I could part with because I will not be throwing them. You interested?
