I have not worked out all of the details. There will be a sponsorship flyer of some kind, and I did not even think of hole sponsorship. Thanks for the idea. I am thinking of at least 3-6 small mini trophies. Top 3 in Pro and Am. Not sure if there is a womans division yet. Send me a logo for you in jpeg if possible and I will ge you in the flyer file. Should start working on that soon. Let me know what you eed as far as cost so I can work it i to the finances. Looking forward to it. Thanks, Donnie PS. I got a proto Mini for you. Do you want orange or glow?
Floyd, I am wondering if you could bring a few of your mini baskets to the Canadian/American Mini Disc Golf Tourney. I am adding 9 holes to the course and want to showcase some other mini baskets and products for the tourney. It will give all of us a better idea of the serious mini baskets that are out there. I would want them set up to be off the ground like the one I sent you, so the hieght of the baskets is standard. What do you think? I have another MDGF member that makes baskets that will also bring some for play that day. Let me know. Thanks
Floyd,
The quality of the materials matters more to the durability of the basket rather than the catching ability. Catching ability is a function of the design. The Innova Traveller may be the best catching baskets out there but it made inexpensively and would never last as a permanent installation. But I'm glad your emphasis is efficacy, although I like your art as well.
I'm not a designer or manufacturer so I have never considered releasing my own equipment. I'm a lawyer, I don't have any real skills. I agree with the idea of making a training aid which is smaller than a traditional basket or even a Pro level basket which is smaller. Narrower chains would likely improve catching of putts which hit dead center.
Really we all aim at the post anyway, which is a pretty narrow target. Some wider putts will go in, some will not, but no one aims wide on purpose. So our target is always narrow. We just get rewarded when off center sometimes. We also get screwed on perfect putts to the center.
Floyd, got your membership and the special care package today. SWEET> Greatly appreciated. I really like "Rock The Chains" on the basket. It will be a prized piece for me. I will get hold of you Saturday after work sometime in the evening so we can talk. Thanks again Brother.
Probably, but no plug ins. Lots of rv sites close by if you need.. I like that you found the main fault. That is funny that I found out about it the hard way. Had a disc go through after a putt. Only happened twice that I know of after all the throws on the baskets. lol
Floyd Tourney date set. Check your invites. Also, Did you find the weak spot of my basket yet? An Innova mini can slide through the side at a particular angle. Oh No.
I had news from you.

Do you send that pretty basket for me?
I thank for your gentleness.
By the way, I do it regarding a tournament, but want to participate in the world championship of this year if possible. Therefore I must secure ranking to get the participation right in Japan.
I am making an effort so that it is appeared.
My wife and I are having a hard time placing an exact date as of yet. We are looking at local Disc Golf Tourneys that conflict. We want to pull as many locals as possible and there are several favorite tourneys around the time I want to have it. I have made some headway with fundraising, but it is going to be hard to raise $1000.00. I may have to settle for less.
Floyd, basket shipped ups today. Should be ther in a day or 3. Let me know when it arrives. I had to permute the lower pole into 2 pcs for shipping. So the 2 new poles go for the bottom and the lite gray post is for the center basket pole. I never had a bottom made for it because they were intended to be planted in the ground. So I sent one of my wooden bases with it. Looking forward to our colaboration on mini baskets.

I looked at your basket photos. Nice work. For full sized baskets do you emphasize the artistic side or the catching side?
