Hi Jen,
Another course will be built in Norcal. Turtle Rock Park near Markleeville was approved Oct. 21 by the Alpine Co. Board.
Tahoe Donner is still in limbo. I am discussed with all but two board members.
Sorry that I missed the Norcal Championships. It looked like another excellent tournament.

Hey Jennifer,
I tried the e-mail address you gave me, but it was an invalid address. Is there another e-mail address or another way to get a hold of you?
Thanks for your help.

On behalf of Juliana Korver, I am honored to announce her inaugural ladies-only disc golf event: Juliana Korver Presents La Vie en Rose.

This unique event will take place February 14-15, 2009
at The Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak, FL.

In Juliana’s words:

"Are you curious why this disc golf adventure has the name that it does? Literally La Vie en Rose translates to “the life in rose”. The English equivalent to this is “life through rose-tinted glasses” or even “life is rosy”.

If someone looks at something through rose-tinted glasses, they see only the pleasant parts of it. It is a way of life. It is an attitude that I aspire to maintain.

La Vie en Rose is a disc golf event that intends to combine many of the pleasant tournament aspects that we have experienced over the years as well as present new ones that will create a wonderful, memorable and rosy weekend.

This event is about warm fuzzies, feeling good and friendship. I hope that you all can experience the weekend through rose-tinted glasses and perhaps even take the attitude home with you to help you appreciate all that is good in life.

This will truly be a unique weekend that I hope and expect you will love."

Juliana has made the initial event announcement in person at the U.S. Women’s Disc Golf Championships and on the PDGA discussion board. For lots more information visit the tournament website:
www.julianakorver.net/rose

Shawn Harrigan and I are the Co-TD’s for this event. We’d love to have your input, assistance, and sponsorship. Please e-mail mritner@yahoo.com if you are inclined to help Florida welcome the ladies of disc golf to a wonderful weekend of competition and comradery.

Yours In Flight,
Mark “Denny” Ritner

Mosquito update: I just finished designing the first 18 holes. It is fantastic! It just moved into my top 5. It plays around the lake with short technical holes and longer more open power shots. The longest being 720', then a 650'er and four 400' holes. The Discatchers will go in in about a month, then the more difficult tee pads. We cut many trees with no tree huggers in site.
Sorry, but I won't make St. Patties, but my game in not yet ripe. Too much snow to ski.

Hey Jen,
Nice page! I'll be going back to Mosquito in a few weeks. I'll keep you updated. They will need a tournament director some day in the future if you and Bruce are interested..

Yeah, that's exactly what I'm referring to.
The Am weekend being called the California Amateur State Championships. Didn't that used to be the Gold Pan?

Doesn't matter. Don't bother responding. I'm assuming it's the result of some NorCal Series changes or something and I'll find out soon enough.

See ya in March,

hey jen how is it? good to see things moving along, played the ice bowl w/ mike ruzicka and big ter was the t.d. saw Oats on the fox news broadcast and that was nice. Missing the masterpeice that is stafford lake, the weather up here make it a real ice bowl, so golfing is not as great as it is down there. Keep up the good work.

Welcome and I hope you'll sign on as one of my friends and contribute to any of the groups I've started; THE DISCTIONARY, THE NOMINATION STATION and The 50, 100 or Really? Clubs are just a few. The Nomination Station is where you nominate friends (or yourself) for a randomly picked MAJOR AWARD. And don't forget to download and vote for the Peace Dude Flyer, making certain to post it at the courses, the disc golf stores, on all your friends front doors and 2 on your medicine cabinet mirror.

Check "my bag" from time to time to hear some fun music, read my goofy blogs, see some killer disc designs and other offerings by michiganartist and watch for great ideas that will change the world. Let's start with a little thing like peace for all and a disc golf course within walking distance for every human inhabitant worldwide. . . Now get your discs, get to the nearest course and godiscn ! Cheers from the michiganartist, lil charlie bishop, craig or you may in fact, call me god@godiscn.com, if you like.
