Today there was a nice surprise to me. I just came from sauna and there was the chairman of our disc golf club knocking our door and he was standing there with two cups, he handed them to me and said that I have been selected as the sportsman of the year of my town for the Finnish championships victory. How great is that, and tomorrow is my birthday!!! What a present, got to say that.
i would like to think that i am sponswered. Dave and Nikko came to my home town to play for a turni this month, and he saw me play and said that if i ever wanted any Gateway disc to just make a list of what i wanted and he would send it for free. you said something about the spirit and speed demon are sweet for sidearms the most overstable discs on the market today about the turni that nikko came to in my home town to play in it was crazy at the end Greenwell was down to nikko by 2 shots then nikko went bogy par and greenwell went birdie birdie to win by 1 shot nikko handled it well thow and to it like a man. nice talking to you avery i cant really belive that i am talking to you tell Val i said nice job last weekend
My season already ended in august, last tournament I played was Finnish doubles championships, me and my pair came 3rd. Now I have been doing dome stretching every now and then, and also some weight lifts. My main training areas are shoulders, abs, back and legs but I also train many other muscle groups. My next season starts probably in may with first leg of Finnish championships. I probably have a bit longer off-season than you have? :'D Gotta train hard so that if i get to European Open, I can score well with all the big guns. First major win would be nice in such a young age.. nah, just kidding I wouldn't have a chance against you guys, but I ain't going to give up.
My name is Dave i am from Perth Wesyern Australia. Over here we watch all the disc golf action through video and you and i have to say Dave are my fav players to watch by the way you hold yourselfs and the way you let those discs rip!!
the Star signature discs you are selling i was wondering if there was any chance i could get a real signature on one of those discs? I would ask you in person but it would cost a fare bit for me to fly over there to do that :).
I have three pro destroyers at home and they are 168 grams. I only use them if I go to a field and practise some long throws. I haven't put them to my bag because they seem to fly about 10 meters longer than my wraiths but with a longer S-curve, so it takes some wide space compared to wraiths. And here on my home course you dont need that kind of disc in my opinion. And three of my teebirds are star and they are the best discs in the game, goes where you throw them!! How many discs do you carry with you? I currently have 18, is it too much? And do you use that roll cage in your carolina? It keeps the bag in nice shape but takes the space of couple of discs. And if I don't use it, the bottom of the bag will hang from the weight of the discs, is it ok? Have any suggestions about that?
I thank and appreciate your time and answers as always, good luck with the Players Cup! The victory is your's!!!
I wanted to wish you luck at the players cup. you and Nikko are my favorite players on tour. Just got a lot of discs from gateway for free to practice with and get there name out there. Just wanted to know how far you could throw when you were 15 because thats how old i am and i throw like 450 and wanted to see how i am against the best power player out there GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!
Great page & tunes Avery. I wanted to tell you that watching you at USDGC the last couple of years really inspired me to improve my forehand. It really paid off this year with my best finishes ever and a near win at my last event. Good luck next year!
