On behalf of Juliana Korver, I am honored to announce her inaugural ladies-only disc golf event: Juliana Korver Presents La Vie en Rose.
This unique event will take place February 14-15, 2009
at The Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak, FL.
In Juliana’s words:
"Are you curious why this disc golf adventure has the name that it does? Literally La Vie en Rose translates to “the life in rose”. The English equivalent to this is “life through rose-tinted glasses” or even “life is rosy”.
If someone looks at something through rose-tinted glasses, they see only the pleasant parts of it. It is a way of life. It is an attitude that I aspire to maintain.
La Vie en Rose is a disc golf event that intends to combine many of the pleasant tournament aspects that we have experienced over the years as well as present new ones that will create a wonderful, memorable and rosy weekend.
This event is about warm fuzzies, feeling good and friendship. I hope that you all can experience the weekend through rose-tinted glasses and perhaps even take the attitude home with you to help you appreciate all that is good in life.
This will truly be a unique weekend that I hope and expect you will love."
Juliana has made the initial event announcement in person at the U.S. Women’s Disc Golf Championships and on the PDGA discussion board. For lots more information visit the tournament website:

I beleive the town I was in might have been called waterbury I dont think that is right though. I will find out today and let you know. I remember a sign that said Middlesex Dont know if that is a road, city, county, or what. Anyway not snowing yet but it is chilly outside right now 35 degrees and climbing to 70 later today. As soon as I get out of work I will be heading to Rolling Hills in Ypsilanti ,MI. to get some practice in for Sunday's tourney. I am excited, going for my first open win! Are you playing in any tourney's this weekend or soon? I beleive this is my last tourney before December since I did not get a bid into the U.S.D.G.C., O'well there is alway's next year right? anywho dont work to hard today we'll rap with you soon peace out!
My bad Heather- I was without a computer and disc. I had made it to Conn. and had asked how far I was from Groton, I was told by a cousin Groton was only 10 min. from where I was. I'll have to find out the town's name I was in. I know it ended in ...bury, and as I was driving around it seemed like every city/town ended in ...bury anyway's sorry I missed ya! maybe next time around. have a great week peace out!
well I am leaving Thursday night staying with some friends in Yonker's then Friday heading to Babalon for the reunion, Saturday night-Sunday morning heading into Conn. It sounds like I have a pretty busy schedule. Hopefully have some time for some golf. I will keep you posted! Have a great week. peace out!
Well Good Luck in Ma. if you go. I have a Family Reunion on Saturday in Babalon, L.I.NY. so cannot make that tourney even though I would love to. I will keep in touch and let you know my plans. and p.s. I don't beleive Rob had mentioned his World Record Ace. I beleive he said he did ace at Worlds but I dont remember any Worlds Record Ace, what is that all about? I did however see a 465ft. ace on Hole 11 @ Robert Morris Park! That was the longest ace I had ever witnessed! Anywho keep in touch we'll talk with you soon peace out!
holy bagungas! You are a busy woman this coming weekend! We realized pokerpalooza was this coming saturday and nixed the friday evening idea...if I don't see you this coming weekend, I will see again sometime soon! NEFA auction, eh? I may be into that kidnapping...
Hey Heather- I had all the momentum I needed until Thursday, Thursday I had 1 round at 8:00 am we were done by 11:00 am with all day ahead of me I planned on going back to my camper and passing out to get some much needed rest. Instead I had met up with some of the Northwest crew. 1 guy from B.C., 1 guy from Washington and 2 guy's from Oregon. we all decided that we would all go and get lunch at a sports bar! So to say the least we had a few beer's and were really getting along great. Everybody was real down to earth and cool as fan's! So we all decide to go to a party at a Michigan Discgolfer's house. It was a blast! Anywho dumb mistake, I had forgot I went to Kalamazoo for a reason that being to win the World Championship. I had left the Party around 9:00pm and drove a hour back to the camper and passed out for 5 hours before I had to get up and go throw 2 rounds the next morning. I threw horrible the 1st round and got booted off the top card down to the 2nd card and stayed there for the remainder of the event. Although I had a really good time I was very upset with myself. I went for first ended up 8th. Lesson learned! Overall had a great time, wish you could have been there, you missed a great time. speaking of which I talked with Mel and Rob Nitchka try to save them some money by staying with me but they were staying a hour away and all ready had plans and what not. anywho I am heading to Long Island Labor Day Weekend. I'll try to make it up to Conn. if you are down for a round! Anywho to work to hard this week we'll rap with you soon peace out! p.s. Thanks for the east coast support!!!
Good to hear from you! I had an absolute blast. Of course, I could have done better, but my drives are really taking shape...Just a few strokes off of getting a higher tag, nuts!
Allen and I were planning on renting a pavillion or something at wick and getting a keg. We were thinking Friday afternoon/evening, play some golf, drink some beers, hang out...I am really going to miss NEFAland...my first real golfer community...sigh...I hope to see you soon and thanks again for the message Heather!
