Hey there!

Glad to hear all is well. I  use to play raquetball all the time. Great game for sure, but when the back injuries piled up. Any type of rotation would just kill me. So that was part of my former life lol! The hardest part was finding that group of equal or slightly better people to play with.

Things have been good around here. Been playing a few times a month or so. Like you, I've picked up other things. Picked up a new toy (Triumph Speed Triple) and have been riding the heck out of it I've also been putting more time in on the good old drum set. I got fed up playing like Phill Rudd (drummer for AC/DC) and set my goal to play more like Neil Peart (drummer for Rush). I won't come close, but it's been fun trying :)

Will be making my pilgramage to my Mecca (Oregon, Washington) for some crazy disc golf in a few weeks. So I'll be getting my disc golf fix soon. Will have plenty of ice and Motrin on hand!

So hows the photo business and writing going? I must say, it's intimidating writing this. Since I spent little to no time learing anything in english class. So forgive me for butchering this post :)

Well, stay in touch and take care!

Hey long time no hear!

Hows things your way? SOS here, been digging the Grip bag that finally showed up after several years of waiting lol. If you're in the market for a bag. This is the one! Very well made and takes a lot of pressure off the back. I was pleased at how much better my back felt after a few rounds. I didn't think it would make much of a diff. but it really does.

Well hope all is well with you and yours!

Ya, they are great discs for sure. Now I have three driver groups. My uber long (Sword, King, and Vulcan). My standard group (Havoc, Valk, and Vision) and my  Fairway drivers. Wow it's crazy to only see two Innova's in that group now that I look at it.......wow

Cool on the camping! I had a blast taking my daughter for the 1st time, but she sure braught getting a little dirty, to a whole new level lol!!! Well, enjoy!!

Wow that sounds great! Cool thing is, you can't fire yourself lol!

I carry both the Bolt and Sword. The Sword is very long, reminds me of the Nuke, but not as touchy. The Bolt is my fav for tight shots, but it's not as long as the Sword. The closest disc it reminds me of is the Wraith. However, I've only thrown them a handful of times. Well I'm glad I bought a few of the Bolts, because they are soooo darn pretty. So is it just the Worlds hot stamp that is limited or is the entire run short lived too?

Well good luck with your new jobs!

I didn't even think of my profile pic, yeah that's way overdressed, too, as it hit 100 degrees yesterday with a heat index of 115.  I heard the last time it hit triple digits in Michigan was in the late 90s.   The wind was blowing but it felt like a dragon was breathing on me.   Thanks for the Champ Katana advice, I will definitely give 1 a try!

Hi Brandon,  As I just came in from 97 degrees with a heat index of 111, you look out of place in that winter garb  :-)   .   Thanks for the very fair offer on the Katana, I already have several 175s which fly great but won't stay on an anny line with my armspeed and snap.   The 170/171s are less stable,  good for the full anny, and that is what I desire.   Unfortunately, I am down to 1 of those hence my desire to find more.  I tried the Katana Pros and they are all too understable for my needs.  I haven't tried the Champions yet.  It's very hard to find a disc that can be thrown hard on an anny and hold it without flipping.

Go Pack! Just found this out the other day....Do you know what the "G" on the helmet stands for? Had nooo idea, all this time I thought it was for the "G" in Green Bay!

So the family lives in Colorado Springs. Mid West, right? However, once my lady love retires. I'll be coming to a state near you! So we'll for sure have to throw some rounds!

Well, take care and I hope you're feeling better.

We thought about moving to the midwest were we have family, but then we went for a ride up the coast when we got back. We just couldn't do it after that. We'd miss the coast :(

Know best? lol! I don't think one disc out of many counts! As for the housing market, it just depends were you look. Here in Mayberry. You can get a nice fixer upper for around 250 to 500 thousand lol! But if you go to the Sierra foothills (below the snow line!). You can cut that in half. It's a big state so you can pick a price range for the most part. Ya, I don't know how you do it. I go to Tahoe for a few days and I've had my fill of snow!

Haven't forgot about you discs and bag. Give me till March if that's cool. I want to get my other bags first. Since I kinda use them for storage.

Well take care of that cold and BACK. You don't want to end up like me!

The Vulcan is becoming my main driver. It's seems very predictable to me. Although it  seems to need a little more room than my Katana to flex out. It consistantly is blowing past my Nuke and Katana by at least 20+ feet. The one I'm tossing now is 162g, but I've ordered some 170g Vulcans to see how they fly.

Since I've been on this light weight kick. I've noticed more distance as well as better control.

Maybe it's because I don't try and kill it through the hit?

Played a couple rounds today and it's official. Until I loose my 159g Katana. The Flow is on the outside looking in. Plus there is no way I'm pulling my Wraith out of my bag!

Hey Brandon!

I decided to keep one of the Cores, but I'll send you the other one (175G). So are there any other toys you've been wanting to try?

At 3:55pm on January 21, 2011, Rescue said…

I'm still on the fence about the Flow. Depending on the Katana I throw (so inconsistant!). It's flight is about the same, maybe a tad less stable. However, it's not as long, but I trust it more.

I've decide to get rid of a bag or two. If you are truely interested. Just let me know. I'm going to part with a Revo Carolina bag, Phenix bag, and a Gorilla Boys Kong bag.

As a matter of fact, I do have two GL Cores. One I flat topped it with a pot of boiling water placed on top of it. The other, kind of looks like the actors stomach in the movie Alien, just before the creature popped out lol! Sorry, but that's the first thing that came to mind when I first saw it. It's  just odd looking. It's flat for the most part, but all of a sudden there is a buldge about 2 to 3 inches in diameter right in the center.

OK, nuff of that. I think they are both around 170g to 172g. I know you dig the GL plastic, but I think the Core in the Opto plastic is the better choice. It's to bad I gave it away, but if you want to try the GL ones let me know and I'll send you one.

With your power, I think you will like the Star Vulcan for uber anhyzers and big bombing helix's. I played with it today and was getting great "D" with a hard hyzer flip, but once again. I throw 40 to 80 feet less than you.

I also think you will dig the Core. It feel really nice in the hand. I'd say, depending on the dome. It's right between a Roc (Champ) and a Buzzz, but you'll get about 10 to 20 feet more distance than both the Roc and Buzzz. I had a pretty domey one that was pretty flippy. So I put a big pot of boiling water on top of it and let it sit for a few hours. It made the top nice and flat although it did have a slight wave to the top. It made a big diff. in it's stability. It was a GL at 172g.

Well hope you feel better soon. I always start popping zinc when I feel a cold coming on. It doesn't cure the cold, but the symtoms are greatly reduced.

Hey Brandon, how ya doing!

I had a chance to throw my Star Vulcan (168g) today. It still my be to understable for you, but I must say. In standard Innova fashion. These are a BIT more overstable than the Champ Vulcans. I still get a ton of distance with very little effort and the thing is dead straight without fade. Mind you, that's for ME and I don't throw close to your distance. Just thought I'd pass that on just in case you were curious about the Star version.

Take care!
