yeah...i work for him. i'll ask him, but he's been gone on vacation for a week, and he'll get back in two. i saw the original message (sorry i'm just now getting back, had family issues that took me away from work as well) but i'll mention it to him if he calls.
how's dave been? i went out to the mighty z yesterday for the first time in 3 weeks. almost picked me up an ace on 11. skipped chains and fell over the basket.
hey whats up, thanks for the info, im in north richland hills. ive played zboaz a little and north park its closer but i heard something about the doubles out at weatherford, ill try to catch one soon, i have to save my money right now for the waco chairty open june 7,8,9, hope you and some of your friends can make it, its an absoult blast, and party, thanks again, DiscHard LiveEasy
It's nice that you moved to an area that has tax resources and is willing to spend them on disc golf.
I've mostly been tied up with house issues. The house is gutted and they're about 50% done replacing the roof. We've had to pick roof tiles, floor tiles, paint, oven, dishwasher, etc., plan the outlets, cable access, kitchen floor plan, plus the daily 'change requests' than come with unforeseen issues (and we're up to $5000 out of pocket so far). Having your house burn is no fun.
I did manage to get down to the Snow Farm for the Masters Cup (took 4th place in Adv). But I'm lucky if I play once a week.
Plus we got a pupyy last week. It's going better than I would have expected. It's a sheppard/lab mix. Cupid's not too happy.
I'll have to get out your way sometime but work is killing me.
Thanks Dave...We're still chasing down several events, but, at last count we're nearing $246,000 raised through Ice Bowls and affiliated events in 2008. Hopefully, when the final count is in, we'll have topped the 1/4 million mark, which sounds pretty nice. Check out http://www.icebowlhq.com for more info.
Hey Dave, if you left your info on your disc and I find it you WILL be contacted. I promise! Its only proper to try and contact a discs owner.
We could have met in the past. My brother and I played several Mace Man tourneys at Z-Boaz. Its still a destination for us when we feel froggy enough to spend the day down in the south part of the Metroplex.
Thanks for hollerin at me

What's up my Brother !
Guess what ? Tony and I played at the Sylmar Open, in the "Wreck" Division, just like when you met us, you know.....
playing under the banner of " Team Pacoima ! " and we KICKED ASS ! Tony took a THIRD PLACE, I took FOURTH PLACE, two strokes behind him, we were in the leader card, all the way and my homey birdied three of the last four holes, to take third !
Which you could have seen it, man, you would have been proud of us ! We had killer polo shirts made for us, embroidered with the " Team Pacoima ! " logo on them and we also had bad ass matching sun visors embroidered with " 91331 " (Pacoima's Zip Code) in Old English writing, kinda like the gangbangers write it.
Now, Everybody knows who Team Pacoima is, yeah !
my e-mail address is gil_rabago at yahoo dot com. Later !
disc golf has been very good to me these last few days, on Sat., at Z Boaz, i hit an ace on hole seventeen with a first run Star Teerex, my 24th ace, and then yesterday, only two days later, I hit another ace at Weatherford on hole two, between the trees, kissing slightly off the left tree with a CFR Augusta Wraith, my 25th ace
Man! I love this game!
Dave, is so good to hear from you, Bro!
We had a great time also and Tony asks me every once in a while(now picture this conversation going back and forth in two heavy Mexican accents) : " Gilbert did you ever hear from Nascar Dave? Did he ever send you any discs from Texas like he promised? I say " No, Tony I never heard from him again. No, wait ! he sent me an e-mail to say hi, but he never sent any discs!" Then he goes " Effin, Gilbert ! you're not cheating me are you ? I reply No, no, Tony I am not, if he does, I swear I'll let you know! " and he continues " Dammit Gilbert, you better, HE IS MY FRIEND TOO, YU NO (you know) ? " I just laugh and shake it off.
As you can see Dave, you made a VERY BIG impression on us, buddy! We have a big tournament at the Sylmar Open tomorrow, and he is going to be really happy I heard from you.
If you wish, I'll be happy to say " Tony, guess what ? Nascar Dave says ' hey, whas up homes?! " All kidding aside, I hope we can stay in touch. I hear great things about Texas courses and I would love to meet you ANYWHERE, ANYTIME you are in SO-CAL to play a round or two ! Later !
Nascar Dave ?
Dude, this is Gilbert Rabago, along with my friend Tony Gonzales we are commonly known as Team Pacoima ! We played together at our home course: SYLMAR, home of the Mighty Steve Rico the third best player in the planet (currently ranked second!)
We played a couple of rounds, exchanged addresses and as it is customary for SYLMAR CRUSHERS in this part of the world, we signed a couple of your discs( : - } ) before you left for Texas.
I'll like to invite you to be one of my friends and would appreciate if you can do the same on your side, as I like to keep in touch. See Ya !
