On behalf of Juliana Korver, I am happy to announce the 2010 La Vie en Rose, a women-only PDGA event and Southern Nationals qualifier that will take place February 13-14, 2010 at the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak, FL. As you may know, last year the inaugural event hosted 67 female disc golfers. This year our tournament field will be limited to 84 competitors and we hope to sell out.
Registration is now open and instructions can be found on the official tournament website: http://julianakorver.net/rose/
In order to make the 2010 event even better for the women, we are reaching out to all those in the disc golf community that are interested in helping to raise the bar for our sport. Whether it’s a title sponsorship, a CTP donation, help with course preparation, helping to spread the excitement, or actually competing in the event, we certainly hope to be blessed with your participation.

Thank you for your attention. We’re hoping that in some way, whether big or small, you’ll be able to share a bit of your passion for the sport of disc golf with the ladies.
I lost your phone number in my phone...don't ask me how. I think it was marked as restricted. Anyways, we still want to see you this weekend and play Milo on Sunday, march 29. Call me 319-240-5806 when you can, today, tomorrow, anytime :) We'll be staying at the Edgefield sat night.
The Edgefield is booked and that's part of the plan so we're looking to push the weekend back to MARCH 27th - 29TH. You think that'll work out for you two? Hope so, and yes we'll re-remind you as the time gets near.
Hey Teresa,
Vieve and I are planning to head up to P-town March 20-22 and hope to play Dabny on Saturday (11:00-ish and Milo on Sunday 11:00-ish). We are hoping to get together a bunch of couples, you and your man included if you're game, for an informal mixed doubles session. If we get enough couples, we might play with our "partners" or if it's determined it would be more fun we can play "random/swinger doubles." What do you think, you and Chris going to be around on that weekend? We are hoping to get Sarah and Crawdad, bart and Dana, Chris and Kirsten, and... Ideas are welcome. Not too big, but we definitely want it to be big enough to have hella fun.
I was woundering if you knew when the Beaver State Fling is going to be this year? I want to plan a vacation this summer and need to know some dates. Hope you can help Thanks, -TRU-
I don't think we have actually met. My wife and I are building a disc golf resort in Pawhuska, Oklahoma and everytime I am online and someone's name comes up on facebook, myspace, discgolfersRus or whatever, if I see that they play disc golf I generally invite them to be a friend of The Lodge.

I don't think we know each other personally but I've been a disc golf whore for quite a while now so maybe myspace? I was at worlds this year and I've written a couple stories for Disc Golf World News. Maybe a friend of a friend, Kevin Bacon maybe. I don't know but if you throw disc's, weez friends. No more flatulating head trauma OK...
I was just going to come and comment on the fact that you have the rank on this site of "achiever" and now I need to comment about how cool your page is! I must really be slacking in my duties as an internet junkie.... :)

On behalf of Juliana Korver, I am honored to announce her inaugural ladies-only disc golf event: Juliana Korver Presents La Vie en Rose.
This unique event will take place February 14-15, 2009
at The Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak, FL.
In Juliana’s words:
"Are you curious why this disc golf adventure has the name that it does? Literally La Vie en Rose translates to “the life in rose”. The English equivalent to this is “life through rose-tinted glasses” or even “life is rosy”.
If someone looks at something through rose-tinted glasses, they see only the pleasant parts of it. It is a way of life. It is an attitude that I aspire to maintain.
La Vie en Rose is a disc golf event that intends to combine many of the pleasant tournament aspects that we have experienced over the years as well as present new ones that will create a wonderful, memorable and rosy weekend.
This event is about warm fuzzies, feeling good and friendship. I hope that you all can experience the weekend through rose-tinted glasses and perhaps even take the attitude home with you to help you appreciate all that is good in life.
This will truly be a unique weekend that I hope and expect you will love."
Juliana has made the initial event announcement in person at the U.S. Women’s Disc Golf Championships and on the PDGA discussion board. For lots more information and to post your support, please visit this discussion thread, which will provide a link to the official tournament website:
Shawn Harrigan and I are the Co-TD’s for this event. We’d love to have your input, assistance, and sponsorship. Please e-mail mritner@yahoo.com if you are inclined to help Florida welcome the ladies of disc golf to a wonderful weekend of competition and comradery.
Yours In Flight,
Mark “Denny” Ritner

Do you ever get the feeling there are a bunch of men on here just prowling around trying to "befriend" as many females as possible???
