Sending an invitation now, totally cool to be a member as long as you're planning on joining the club next month. We just have a lot of folks from surrounding areas (2-3 hours away) that have played there once and want to be members on dgrus, but not tag holding members, you see. Didn't know you'd already spoke to Hubbard about it.....

Hello, and welcome to discgolfersr.us! I received your request to join the Pickwick Club. This club is actually just for Pickwick Bag Tag holders to keep up with scores, etc. for tag challenges. Our first season as a club ends on May 31st, whereupon, we'll be selling new tags for the new season - they are/were $25 each, which covers greens fees at Pickwick for the rest of the year. We meet several times throughout the week for tag challenges at the various courses in our area... We have SEVERAL ladies interested in joining the club at the end of the month - oh and depending on your skill level, we give all ladies at least a 3 stroke handicap, just to make it a bit more fair. If you'd like to join the club, you can contact Robert MacDonald @ 662-279-2101. We're always happy to see more ladies out there playing and competing with us.

On behalf of Juliana Korver, I am happy to announce the 2010 La Vie en Rose, a women-only PDGA event and Southern Nationals qualifier that will take place February 13-14, 2010 at the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak, FL. As you may know, last year the inaugural event hosted 67 female disc golfers. This year our tournament field will be limited to 84 competitors and we hope to sell out.

In order to make the 2010 event even better for the women, we are reaching out to all those in the disc golf community that are interested in helping to raise the bar for our sport.
