The best time to play disc golf at Kimball Pines is early Autumn, but I took photo's to late.
in Autumn..discs are easy to find in woods, but hard to find in leafy fairways.
Come to Kimball anytime when your ready for round #2.

A leaf has a life as we do. I like playing disc golf when the leaf is between life and death. That is the best time. The leaf shows its inner self at that time.

五味淵さん、お久しぶりです。返事が遅れてしまって申し訳ありません。
教授になってからというもの会議やアポの連続でまとまった時間が取れません。
今週は研究企画書の締切が２個もあって、てんやわんやしてました。

Give A GiftはFacebookやMy Spaceなどで始まったんですが、
ネット上で仮想の贈り物を贈ろうという企画です。
物理的には何も手に入らないんですが、自分のページにアイコンが増えます。
簡単に言うと、人気コンテストのようなものです。
贈り物もただで贈れるわけではなく、ポイントを使って｢買う｣ことになります。
最初はボーナスで１００ポイントもらえるみたいですが、
使いきってしまうと、別の手段でポイントを稼がないと贈り物を買えません。
お金を出してポイントを買うんですが、アホらしいんで僕はやりません。
真剣にやってる人もたくさんいますけどね。。。。

Badgeは自分のトレードマークみたいなのを作ろうと言う企画ですね。
簡単に言うと手の込んだ名詞やバナーリンクみたいなものです。
これを作ってFacebookやMy Spaceなどの自分のページに貼りつけようと。
すると、他の人が五味淵さんのページを見た時に、
｢お、この人はDiscGolfersRusにも参加してるんだな｣と認識できるわけです。
また、DiscGolfersRusを知らない人のためには宣伝にもなるわけです。
SNSのプロバイダー自体が時間やお金をかけて宣伝するのではなく、
ユーザーを使って宣伝効果を上げるという最近の流行りの方法です。

他にも何かありましたらお気軽にお尋ねください。
僕の解る範囲でお答えさせていただきます。

I do not know if I said, but at Irving Park (the park where the new disc golf course is in Battle Creek, Mi.)...there is a shrine dedicated to our sister city in Japan. The city is named Takasaki. I do not know exactly wherre it is in Japan. If you ever come back to Battle Creek and play DG at Irving Park...look for the shrine as well.

I have extra basket parts. Everything on the pdga website indicates there is no rule regulating exact height.

Tulsa, Oklahoma has some beautiful and technical courses. I used to live there. next time you visit the states take a little time visit Tulsa. lots of great people to throw with.

It was a tough competition but Manabu is always a big favorite of the Finnish spectators and I like his style very much. I wish him the best of luck in the rest of this years tournaments.

Unfortunately I had no chance to shoot video of the Manabu's group. I had to make a choice to follow only one group and I chose the one with Finnish player Ville Piippo who was in the second pool. I stayed in Tampere only one day so that was the only video I took. There is still in You Tube other videos where I saw Manabu. Go check You Tube by searching "European Open 2009"
