I'm playing Mark Roberts' dubs tomorrow at Begg Park. REG from 915-1015. tee off at 1030. Get a partner and come out. Novice is 20$, Pro is 40$ (per team) Ace pool and 50/50 are individual games.
Sean,
I feel as you about the virtual gift. But...as corny as it may be...it is kinda kool. I would just use it for birthdays. Or if someone I know got an ace. But as it currently stands....I am not willing to pay Pay Pal for credits. Since I do not know where the money goes.
If The Adminstrator found a way to use our personal points as credits for gifts...I would send gifts for reasons I stated. I actually liked your gift of a virtual Avenger SS. I do not have it in my hand, but I do have it in my head. Mental gifts are tits too. Plus...in this economy...alot less expensive. Also... I thought I heard someone say one time..."It's the virtual thought that counts". (c;

Sean,
Fort Custer IS a great course and I was disappointed the way the DNR handled the date of there invasive tree removal. I was told it would be after Custer's Last Stand. But not to be. So now...there is work to do to get those holes re fit.
Also I am sorry Custer's Last Stand was not incident free. But happy to know that the tourney produced more disc golfers than the two previous stops of the Park Your Drive series. In the end...I believe the tournament to be a success. Thanks for your contribution. Hope to see you at a tournament or on a course somewhere. BTW...thanks for the cudo's.

Sean,
First, I have to commend you for standing behind Mr. Curtis. You got moxie. But, you are doing it again. Mr. Curtis was not souly responsible for For Custer disc golf or Irving Park disc golf. Others were involved with both projects. To put Mr. Curtis on a pedestal for his achievements is ridiculous. I know you put him in a positive light, but he pales to others involved. I would appreciate it if you would include the word "others" in regards to Mr. Curtis and Fort Custer or Irving Park.
He was not single handedly responsible for Fort Custer or Irving Park.
Thanks,
K.
whats up man, yeah I couldn't make it to RoMo today. I had told my buddy Matt i'd hang out with him. and tomorrow Jackie (my gf) has a soccer game so I'll be in Olivet. I'll call Barnes and see if he wants to play Begg or Ft. Custer or both, you interested? my phone is 269 329 8743. Nice name for the club... haha, I would love to submit a logo and see what everyone thinks... maybe everyone should do the same and we'll vote... I can help with the site if we need one also... similar to this one would be cool
Blaze,
I did not play in any qualifying tournaments for State. I may play in the ZooCreek Championships...I'm not sure. I really have been focused on Fort Custer and the building of the course and not paying a ton of attention to the actual game. So my so-so skills have diminished to almost no-throw skills.
It looks like your going to have some fun with that partying bunch of discers. I hope that fun carry's you and them to a divisional win. Stay focused Lefty. (c;)~
I ran into Wade and four others + Moonshadow at The Fort yesterday. To bad they had discin on there mind. I wanted to take them on a tour of some of the brand new holes we have going on out there.
We got six brand new holes (still in flux & rough) to make 24 for the Park Your Drive series. With the 18 hole layout complete and the brand new 6 holes in the mix to make 24+ There will be some options in how one will want to play it. It's all going to be linked up very well. It's really going to be amazing when all is finished. Thanks to Chad and others for the initial development.
Remember...the baskets will be pulled after the Park Your Drive series for hunting season. The best to you and your crew @ State. Have a great Labor Day weekend. Let me know how you did.

Hey, hows it going!
Well I played a round with those DGA gel straps. WOW they are comfortable as hell! They didn't dig into my shoulders and I don't know why or how, but my bag felt super light. The shoulder pads are very well padded and it has two to three times the elasticity of the Quad Shocks. The clips that hook to the bag are nice, because the rotate. So there is less twisting or rotational torque were the clip and straps meet.
Quality seems on par with the Quads, but time will tell. My only concern is the plastic sliders (To adjust the length of the straps). athey appear flimsy, but after really checking them out. They seem just as strong as the ones on the Quads. But I was amazed at how much more comfortable they were than the Quads. On a comfort scale I would give them an 8 or 9 and the Quads a 5 to 6. Hope this helps you out.
Well take it easy!
Lefty,
There will be six new-new hole's ready for play soon & two new hole's playable now. All holes will be ready for the Park Your Drive series event (Custer's Last Stand) coming up Sept. 26th. With the exception of World's 8, 9 & 10 which will be omitted from the Custer's Last Stand event all holes from each course will be used. 8,9 and10 will be reinstated for next summer's play.
So ... if you are going to be entering the event you will be playing the first five holes of The Beach Course. Swing across the paved road to play twelve holes over there and finish up with seven final holes on the Beach Course stating with World's 18. Other than playing over each hole there will be some walking involved from hole to hole.
As far as playing after 5:30 sometime this week ...I'll bring it up to Mr. Curtis. I'm really excited about all that is happening out at The Fort. We feel we have something better than Three Rivers or RoMo. Maybe some other courses as well.

Hi Lefty,
Not that you need one, but course maps are now available at Fort Custer park office and entry gate. I hope your disc golf season has been a successful one so far. I was out with the DNR mowers today and I did a walk through of the back nine after the mowing was finished. It was looking pretty tits, fly etc. (c; They will probably cut the Beach Course Saturday (which includes the front nine of the 18 holer). Come on out and play.
