The Fort is coming along. There are "now" 18 playable holes , with more holes being made.
Come on out and start on hole #1 of the beach course. There should be a sign stating hole #1. PLay Beach course to old #4 (short down hill ace hole). A long walk to old #8 and then follow old course to old #14. Tee pad has been pushed back. The basket has been moved way to the left and pushed back and to the left. You may have to walk down the fairway to spot it. You can see it from the paved road. The next hole plays across the bike path and down the hill to old 16's basket. The path to it has not been weed whipped yet. Look for the orange stakes going down the hill.
Then play old #17. That should be 18 holes (for now).
Anyway...spread the word. Bring some discers who don't know the course. Yup... if you want to do some volunteer work...volunteer your time by coming out to play and spreading the word. Don't forget Custers Last Stand the end of September. It's part of the Park Your Drive series put on by the DNR. That's about it Blaze and thanks.
Fort Custer just about has 18 playable holes. All we need to do is move old 14's basket into a different spot, clean up a fairway and were there. It will include the Beach Course, some holes on the old worlds course and two new holes. I'm excited.
Sorry you could not make the BCMAMS fundraiser for Irving Park Saturday. But one needs to set priorities sometime.
I do not know who the overall winner was (you would have had some competition), but I was more concerned about my rounds even though the tourney was a fundraiser. I shot a couple of 62's. which for me...was pretty good for Begg Park. The event was made slightly easier due to the movement of basket #3 to the mainland. Remember all the rain? Well...Begg was slightly waterlogged, but doable.
Anyway...hope to see you @ another tourney someplace near-by.
Hope to see you Saturday at the fund raiser. I passed on the info you wanted me to give Chad via email. So...if he say's he didn't get it...he's lieing. I don't think he knows how to deal with you Kazoo guys. (smiling).
justin and i both played well, after the first round he was tied for first at +2 and i was in second at +5, so we were both on the lead card for the second round. second round justin shot +1 and i shot -1, so over all justin beat me by a stroke, taking third place and won a birth to states, i tied for fourth and got some decent plastic. i won a ctp also and got a brand new fade tourny bag for it, so i can sell that for atleast 30-40 bucks.
oh, and im not going to play this weekend, its 48 bucks and i rather save my money to play the weekend after at DGLO in ann arbor, which is 50.
sure man, Justin is coming to play too and he lives in Campus Court, so i can just swing by and get both of you. Justin and i played there the other day and he beat my by 1, he had like 6 or 7 dueces that brought him back!
