Hey Jared,

I also have world class ugly hawiian (fat boy) shirts which I pull out for special events. On courses with real rough I wear long socks, which takes me out of contention for any fashion awards.

Maybe we will meet up at Worlds?

If you are an amateur playing in a pro division, you are supposed to get equivalent value merch in place of cash unless you paid a reduced entry fee to simply enter and play for Trophy Only.

It was fun, but definitely had horrible holes each round that devastated my scores. In fact, I had one in the finals, it's on film, you'll love it...GO TO YUCAIPA THIS WEEKEND SUCKA.

I just gotta say...
In the beginning of the decade that I have been playing I was all about seeing Disc Golf get bigger. There were so many ideas out there, but naturally nothing so far has worked. I love the enthusiasm of new players, but I tend to be a bit more pessimistic. Ball golf took 120+ years to get where it is at today. There is a lot more to the sport that attracts me to it then the money-obviously. The community, experiences, and road trips is what it's all about.
However, to get to the point, I think you are on to something with your ideas. And this is the first time in a LONG while that I have felt that way. Go with your vision, and I garauntee there will be people who back you up.
If you build it they will come!

Trust me I know all about bigger entry fees leading to bigger cash purses for tournaments. But the reality is that even if you got every Pro Player rated over 1000 to attend one single event you would realistically only have 100+ players and the problem is that even that many would not even put up $1000 for an entry. Trust me, I am fully bought into such a Union to be formed and established but as far as competitive players, few and far between. I have experienced this same dilemma touring the country and playing tournaments for a living for the last 8 years, its tough out there but I make it work.

Its really difficult to even get 100 Pro Open Players to put up $100 for an entry fee aside from $1000. You stated "Honestly, do you believe that there are enough players who would pay larger entry fees???" And my answer to this question is No, at this moment in our sport. Other Pro Players dont want to play us due to the competitive level of this sport being so spread out among the players, there is a huge difference between a 950 and a 1000 and a 1030 player. The competitive level in this sport has really separated and other players know that by now, some still show up to donate their cash week in and week out. But they know that there is no way that they could ever beat a Nate Doss or Dave Feldberg, its just not going to happen. So they are basically donating their money to our cause and thats how it has been, but I think some people would have trouble on kickin in a G to our cause. All we ever do is play for eachothers money and have been doing so for decades. Things do need to change.

I am down to make this happen as soon as possible, but strength is in numbers and this sport is lacking the numbers portion. I have many say "That all we are missing in this sport is a "0". And thats exactly what your topic proposal is trying to do, is add that "0". I would be really happy to be making $330,000 a year compared to $33,000.

You brought your idea across very well in the discussion and responded "on point" to many of the comments left on the discussion. Its numbers of people that attract money, and money that attracts more money. but it all starts with the number of people that we can have buy into this idea in the first place, before all else its starts with the Touring Pro Players. This Tournament Players Association needs to happen soon on our behalf for us very soon for any players to see any type of payoff in the near future.

Are you willing to take on the responsibility to run a Union???? I am down to support any such Union and make it happen. It all comes down to someone stepping up to run the show.

Hey Jared, thanks for the discs. Next time id be very interested in a soft Voodoo. Its flying well as my longer hyzer upshots. off the tee I havent had the flights that I might of expected so I need to try it out more. The Magic is $$$$. Its anhyzer is just enough to have it flip, whereas my Soft is alot more flippy. (Cant say I care for that base-level plastic one bit tho)

Things are going good dude. How have you been? This weekend was the am event of the Socal Champs, are you playing the Open event next weekend? I have plenty of space if you would like to crash here for free.
How did you get the hookup on Gateway? WTG however you did it cause I love gateways discs. It would be super sweet to get a Gateway rep/sponsorship in Socal!
Unfortunately I cant make it down until Thanksgiving, school is going to kick my ass if I dont focus in between the two tournaments. lol

Hey big guy, I apparently don't log in enough. I missed your comment about coming up here by two months. That sucks. Hope SoCal is improving your golf game, because next time we play I'm giving you some serious competition.

Hyzer Pines is in Sisters, the course is at the Sisters High school.

I believe there is a course at one of the community colleges there in Bend, I've never played it, but I hear it's a fun little 9 hole course.
