Thats cool there's disc golf there, and golfers like you, now I know when I'm running on your time, I'm not alone ; ) don't remember what the subject was, but I think I was wondering why anyone would be up as late as me! Nice pic., sounds like lots of coarses there, good to know. I play night golf too, I have three with lights built in, bought them from Worlds tourney 2007 in Wisconsin, they are just upshot-type, short hyzer discs, for drivers, we tape fish lure lites to our regular disks, just friendly golf anyway. Take care, gotta go..
Hi Hootie,
We should definitely catch up some time for a game. It's a pitty I didn't know you were in Victoria a few weeks ago or I could have joined you for a few 9s at Whittlesea. Will let you know if i am in your neck of the woods anytime. Cheers
Thanks! I'm glad you liked them. I will post more - sooner rather than later.

Thanks Hootie,
I live in a fantastic spot in the world. The border of California and Nevada in the Sierra Nevada Mountains near Lake Tahoe. I have four excellent courses within 11/2 hours of home with a couple more in progress. I have had the opportunity to design and build (with the help of a few others) all four. It's been great fun.
I haven't added any photos in quite some time. You have inspired me to get back at it. With the fall season coming up, I should get some colorful shots. Maybe another bear will cross my path. I always carry my camera in my golf bag just in case.
Keep in touch.

Hey Hootie,
When you make it to this side of the world, you've got a place to stay here in Reno, and play in Lake Tahoe. We have some fantastic courses with more on the way. Our tournaments are filling up. You'll love it mate!
Not to worry about our sport. There are more and more young gentlemen like yourself discovering the thrills of disc golf. It is ever evolving, and is inclusive to all types. Keep your image in the forfront, and don't let the lowlifes burn you out.
Hootie, I liked your comments on the image thread and it made me feel good to know there are like minded golfers out there. I grew up in and around all kinds, and have seen just about everything while playing the sport.
We are in the battle of our lives trying to save our bootleg course in upper Bidwell park here in Chico CA. The enviro-nazis want us out and will do anything to stop us from playing disc golf in a public park, that they want to become a preserve!
What many of these guys on this site are missing is that oppenents are looking for any reason to add to their list of complaints. Chico being a college town does not help our plight.
So I am passionate about being proffessional when it comes to disc golf and tend to get on the soap box when the topics open...
I'll have a pint today and toast to our disc golfing brothers down under today!
I have always wanted to go to Australia, and some day I will.
Thanks a lot mate, i kinda put my heart into that response. I certainly hope our game becomes a proper sport, but some disc golfers' attitudes kinda scare me, y'know? PS If you're ever over in my neck of the woods, let me know and we'll tee up a round, yeah?
Dude,
Went out to little Reed Canal Park, disc golf course. Short (3708') and technical. Shot 13 under par with and Ace on hole 17! (It's because of my birthday?)
I hope to get to Australia! Friends have been there say it was nice.
Go to www.discplayersports.com
that is my business.... started to improve the image and promote the growth or the sport.
Don't order anything right now (if you want) have to figure out shipping, overseas. Shipping is a pain.
Getting ready to go out with my son.
I put a comment on the hippy discussion....
Travel plans are in the works for 2010 to head to the Indian Ocean, but the gf and I will most likely not be passing through Australia unless it's a lay-over on our way to Goa.
Have a lot of disc golf friends who feel the same way.
Want the sport to 'improve' not go backwards.
Yes, and your discs don't spin the opposite way down there!
Congrats on hitting the 20's! What's helped you improve the most- better discs or Emil's help.
What do you think of that alternate? Any suggestions?

Thanks for the message Hootie. Yeah, I got a round in at my home course (in the snow) and shot a 3 under. My average is par, so I'll take that any day. My backhand is gradually improving which is always nice. Wish I was in Australia now!

Great Post! Excellent read. I appreciate your passion for the sport. Disc golf is so great, it will succeed inspite of ourselves.

It's all good.
