Ben's 1,000 Disc Golf Course Adventure

Rizbee is keeping up this Google Map of where Ben has been! Spot Ben or his car while he's on the trip, take a photo, and post it here with "Ben Calhoun" as a Tag. The basket winner will be selected from among those who "Find Ben" and do that. He's already been spotted in San Francisco. (Sort of.) Local father-daughter duo wins frisbee golf events at Monroe Community Park (The Pulse-Journal)

Saturday, June 28, was a banner day for the Cox family. Father/daughter tandem David and Rebecca each won their respective divisions at the Course Challenge Series disc golf tournament, which was held at Monroe Community Park and Turtlecreek Park.

(Oh, I have begun using the "question-mark-circle" pin icon to note disc golf retail outlets and great food places near courses, too!) What fun!

One cool thing is that, if I am correct in setting it so that anyone can edit it, you can put your area's courses and stores in, then edit the code you get to embed a map like this one so that it shows your area when it is initially opened, instead of half the world, which is what it is set for now. So you can publish a local map but it can be part of an everything map. The code should work in the text box on your own page, on a club home page, or on a tournament event page. And it works all around the world!

Easley

Bill and I played Easley tonight and I absolutely sucked. I don't know what it is about Easley but I always suck when I play there. I'm not a good player but I play so-so at most courses. Tonight I was +18 in 18 holes. The best I have ever thrown there is +8 and that really blows too. I parred #5 which is a first for me. I also threw one birdie - #18. The Love Box ..and deppression

Well any chance of getting to 1,000 first is gone, there goes goal #2 (first was most courses ever but that's probably gone soon too). Maybe I will try to set the record for most goals unfulfilled. Tour de Rizbee 2008 - New England, New Courses!

I'm about to go on vacation for 11 days, 4 of which will comprise the 2008 Tour de Rizbee. For each of the past four years my son and I have done a disc golf road trip where we drive like crazy and play lots of disc golf (www.teamrizbee.com).
