Tournament Description

The 4th sunday has arrived so it is time for the Sun Valley monthly. It will be same format as last month, but reduced tournament fees! The first tee time will be at 1pm, and the rest will roughly be every 9 minutes thereafter. This is a limited event so pre-registration is a MUST. Do not expect to sign-up the day of tourney. Pre-registration will be done by RSVP-ing right here! A "maybe" response will not count, I need a definitive answer. The cost, including your greens fee by division are: Open-$15, Adv-$13, Int-$11, Nov-$10, Women-$10. The format will be 2 rounds of nine holes from different pads. We need at least 20 people to sign up, but no more than 35. Prizes to top 1/3rd of each division.

Hi y'all! Doubles sounds fun to me.
Also, sleestaks mentioned giving me a few strokes against the Novice players - not necessar, just play me straight along with them. I'm okay with that.
See you soon!

...i could even balance it more by making sure that the 2 advanced players DO NOT get paired up

i'm leaning towards doubles @ $10 a person ($5 to pot, $5 greens fee), paying out the top half (i.e. if there 7 teams, then top 3 teams win cash; 8 teams, 4 teams win; etc..). i think that would be the fairest for everyone. that way novice players wont have to compete alone against the advanced players. once we get more people on regular basis, then we can move forward with a true monthly with all division separated.

What happened to all the people from last month? I would say definitely combine women/novice and pay out 3 spots for them. As far as advanced, no idea... last month there were way more advanced. See you all tomorrow--

I think the two advanced should go head to head.
All novice tear it up.
Clark the intermediate\novice who knows?
Only 1 women give her a few strokes.
Kinda blows it will be a low turn out

based on the low enrollment i believe our only three options are:
(1) combine all divisions and payout top 4 scores. entrants will still pay their entry fee based on their division/level of play (i.e. advanced players still pay $13, whereas novice/women will pay $10).
(2) combine all divisions with a flat rate of $10 per person; payout top 4
(3) play doubles (best throw) at $10 per person ($5 to the pot, $5 greens fee)

let me know what you think
