Here is a printable registration form (PDF): If you are registering Saturday morning, at the course, please print this out, complete it, and bring it with you!
DON'T LET THE RAIN WORRY YOU. WE HAVE A HUGE PAVILION TO STAY DRY UNDER WHEN NOT PLAYING!
Well, it appears that the rain scared a lot of people away. Too bad, we're paying out 140%! And the sun even came out for a while, although it was sprinkling 30 minutes before tee-off.
Come and join us at the first tournament to be held in this new* state park course at the Big Portage Lake Unit of the Waterloo State Recreation Area. (Just about 6 miles north and west of Grass Lake, easy to get to from I-94.)
* The back nine holes has been installed, with concrete tees.
Format: Two rounds of 18 holes, with a lunch break in the middle. Two or three of the longer holes will have temporary, shorter tee areas marked for lower divisions.
Prizes: Every Am player gets a player's pack of their choice of one disc from the portable inventory we will have on hand from The Throw Shop. It will include Innova, Discraft, Miillennium, Gateway, DGA, and Latitude 64 discs. Top scorers in each division will receive additional choices from inventory for having played well.
Payouts: At least one hundred percent (100%).
This event is part of the Michigan DNR's "Park Your Drive" series. See below** for more information on that. At the core of this series is a collection of prizes for those who accumulate the most birdies. Among the goodies are free 2010 car stickers for entry into Michigan state parks. Note that this course is super for getting a large number of birdies.
Entry fee for all Pro divisions is $40. Entry fee for all Am divisions is $30. If a registered player shows us proof of current unemployment and they will receive a coupon for $10 discount on merchandise. Registration opens at 8:15 am. Players meeting at 9:45.
P.S. If you can make it to this one, you will also want to compete in the A3DISC Birthday Classic the next day at Rolling Hills Washtenaw County Park in Ypsilanti.
** This tournament is the second event in the Michigan DNR's "Park Your Drive" series taking place at each of the 5 Michigan state parks or recreation areas between August 2 and October 25. For a one-time fee of $5, players earn one point for every deuce on their card, and five points for every ace. All points will be paid out to those players present at the finals to be held at Sleepy Hollow on October 25th. See flyer below:
