Val and I are going to the "Big D in the Desert" Distance Competition just outside of Las Vegas. They are holding it at a dry lake bed at elevation, with some crazy tailwinds that get up to 25-30mph. I have been training all winter for this, I will be dropping some bombs. Looking to take down Sandstrom and Voight out in the desert, my goal is top the 200 meter mark (656 ft) and possibly break 214 meters (702 ft) to get myself in the top 10 of the longest throws ever recorded. So I am psyched for this event. Val on the other hand has to top 139 meters (456 ft) to break the Womens World Record, shes got this all day, she is almost throwing that at sea level. I think that she is more pumped about this then any dg event ever. Looking forward to it, see you AZ.
