Reese and I played two rounds at a windy Expo today. The kid is a rabbit and pushed my to my best times ever. I got two rounds in under 19:00! 1st round at 18:30 at -3 = 17:45 on the Mike Randolph scale (minus/plus 0:15 sec per stroke under/over par). Got the 2nd round in at 18:55 at -6 = 17:25. Pretty windy so it was a bit of a challenge putting but I felt pretty and made some nice putts. I beat Reese both rounds but not by much and it was more about strokes than speed. He goes for it though! V… Continue

Had a great day today. I have the week off of school (I don't quite get why but I'll take it and so will the kids) so I got in three rounds today. One normal round at Paco with Scott H. It was really odd. I had 2 birdies, one bogey and a -1 round. Lots of good pars and some great putts, except when putting for a 2. Oh well, it was great fun. Then I went to Expo, but way of DL Discs for a new KC Roc, and played two rounds of speed golf. Just threw my new KC Roc and my Wizard in 5-12 mph winds.… Continue

Played two rounds after school today at Expo Park, Aurora, Colorado. Much snowmelt so my feet got all wet, the discs were muddy but I had fun anway. I love how there is more daylight these days in the evenings! Started at 5:00 and it was still easy to see for 25 mintes after I finished up at 5:45. There was some wind and that kept flipping the X-Buzz I'm auditioning which is frustrating on easy birdie holes. I didn't putt particularly well either but I did run decently fast. The stats: Ran with… Continue

I played two rounds today after work and before it got dark! It only took about 45 minutes but I'm a bit out of shape. Also it was windy and the more strokes you take, the higher your time usually. I played at Expo Park in Aurora (Near Denver) and just ran with a beat in Roc, an X-Buzz and a Wizard. Expo is a short course (I'm guessing -9 = 1000 rated round) around a couple of lakes and you do have to be careful to keep the plastic off the ice. The winds were constantly 15-20 mph with higher…

I played the last Winter Warrior event of the year on Saturday. This was my 6th event and since the top 6 scores get counted, at least I got 6. Ended up -18 for the round (we do doubles with double-birdies so scores can get crazy) which raised me from tied 19th to 13th overall. Pretty good with no scores being dropped. Not the points matter except for braggin rights but it was fun and the whole series raised over $3000 for the Mile High Ice Bowl next week.
I'm excited because I played…
