Spring ahead tonight, more daylight hours for disc golf for the rest of the spring...

Looking forward to more golf after 4pm everyday the rest of the spring and summer. I am headed to Spartanburg and Greenville this week for the last time on a consistant basis for work. I hope to play Boiling Springs Monday afternoon thanks to extended day light and TImmons the rest of the week.

Van Du Mar Park - Boiling Springs, SC

I played the entire 18 last Tuesday and I loved it. The woods, elevation, creek and teepads are fantastic. If you are anywhere near Spartanburg or I-85 it is worth the trip. If you have children, it is also nice due to the playground with slides and such. Great job by the local club and town on the course.

Earlewood 1/23/08

I went to Columbia yesterday afternoon and played Earlewood and it was in good shape in spite of all the rain. It was a bit cold but dg always beat work no matter what the weather is.

It is going okay. We are working on sponsors. We are hoping to go to Charleston and the course this Friday if schedule permits. I was wondering if we could borrow come water coolers from you guys? I plan to bring mine. Just need 4 or 5 more...

Is it not easy to get sponsors if you do an unsanctioned tournament? We are doing sponsor a hole to develop cash flow.

Thanks Craig for checking with me. Appreciate it!

15 and 16 were moved in a rash decision by the park dept and we are working toward a redesign away from the old man on the hill who shoots a pellet gun at golfers. More can be found in the discussion forums at www.upstatediscgolfclub.com

Glad to see you at Timmons the other day. I just hope that your round was better than mine. On the first 18 I was +5 by playing awful from #6 to 14. Then Bill and I played the front nine again and I was -3 there.

Have you heard about the hubbub at Timmons with the city planning to remove #15 and #16? There will be a city council meeting about it on February 25. I think that the city council is taking a complete wrong approach to the problem guy on the hill.
