I finally got over to Sparta, WI to play the courses at Justin Trails. There are two courses at this pay-for-play facility (just $5 a day!) and they are worth the trip. It is a fully functioning farm, with cows, llamas, corn and hay, plus they run a bed and breakfast. The classic course is a very nice advanced course. On Wednesday nights in Wisconsin Rapids, Nacho runs a random draw doubles league at Wazeecha (Willow Run). $1 goes to the course, and the rest is paid out to the winners. Most weeks there are 30 or so players. I don't know what it is, but these are the funnest leagues I have played in, week in and week out. This past week a local bar sponsored us, giving us some free pizzas and beer tokens. About 15 of us hit the place up for four hours of revelry. Here's hoping that can be repeated! A few ye… Continue

We got a solid crew together and went back to Treehaven over the weekend. Randy the Platty Daddy was again leading the way, bringing all his experience and insight. Along on this trip were three solid golfers and all love to play and readily donate time to our disc golf community. This Friday the pins go back in at Standing Rocks. Finally!! There are new holes being added now, and we are going to get our first taste of two of them this Sunday, 4/20. The Ace Holes are hosting a doubles tourney on a 29 hole layout.

The various member schools of the Upper Midwest Collegiate Disc Golf Association will be participating in the third annual Strange Brew Huck up at Highbridge Hills the weekend of April 26-27. Last year we had 65 people head up for two nights of frivolity and all the disc one can handle. Six half barrels from South Shore Brewery kept us lubed. This year should be as big or bigger.
