On behalf of Juliana Korver, I am honored to announce her inaugural ladies-only disc golf event: Juliana Korver Presents La Vie en Rose.

This unique event will take place February 14-15, 2009
at The Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak, FL.

In Juliana’s words:

"Are you curious why this disc golf adventure has the name that it does? Literally La Vie en Rose translates to “the life in rose”. The English equivalent to this is “life through rose-tinted glasses” or even “life is rosy”.

If someone looks at something through rose-tinted glasses, they see only the pleasant parts of it. It is a way of life. It is an attitude that I aspire to maintain.

La Vie en Rose is a disc golf event that intends to combine many of the pleasant tournament aspects that we have experienced over the years as well as present new ones that will create a wonderful, memorable and rosy weekend.

This event is about warm fuzzies, feeling good and friendship. I hope that you all can experience the weekend through rose-tinted glasses and perhaps even take the attitude home with you to help you appreciate all that is good in life.

This will truly be a unique weekend that I hope and expect you will love."

Juliana has made the initial event announcement in person at the U.S. Women’s Disc Golf Championships and on the PDGA discussion board. For lots more information and to post your support, please visit this discussion thread, which will provide a link to the official tournament website:

Shawn Harrigan and I are the Co-TD’s for this event. We’d love to have your input, assistance, and sponsorship. Please e-mail mritner@yahoo.com if you are inclined to help Florida welcome the ladies of disc golf to a wonderful weekend of competition and comradery.

Yours In Flight,
Mark “Denny” Ritner

Hello Nicole,

Has been awhile. Hope all is well in your world. We are going to hold a meeting Sun 11am at Papa's. Are you going to be able to make it? I would love to play a round with you and Todd sometime. Let me know.
Peace
John

WOW,

That was an Amazing Trip out to your place. Thanks for the invite. Let me know if there is anything you need. I really dig your layout and hope to play again. We should think about a road trip also. Its always fun to ambush a course packing 20 + players. I really want to get down South, but there are so many good ones to the north. Like a August camping trip or something. Jade should be old enough!!! Anyways Thanks again.
Cheers

Thanks you nicole once again for the hospitality, I couldn't have picked a better Sunday morning! The course really came to life this time, I am so stoked! We should start a page dedicated to your course; something we can discuss further trips out there, work parties, basket donations, day tournies... the options are endless, we could have a permnate link on the westie site, but hyzer pines deserves more! Keep up the good work!

Hey,

Do you work all weekend usually? I was wanting to get a group of us together over the weekend to go over to Bryant park and play the new course layout and would love for you to come. We could do sat or sun. Hopefully you can do one of those days.
Peace

I couldn't agree more about Eugene needing more courses...
Hey, the next time you guys are coming in to town to play Westy you should give me a call @ 505-2514. My girl (Jaime) is just starting to play and I would love to talk to you more about making your course a reality.

Hey, thank you so much for letting us come and play out there yesterday... We had a great time...
A bunch of us played doubles for round two and I think the best score was 10 down, so big things are possible there.

I'm glad to hear that he threw well. Sorry I couldn't make it. I'm ready to play there again. I have two test this week so I decided I needed to stay home and study. I'm surprised that I haven't seen Ray back here yet. I figured he'd be home by 4. He probably went to westmoreland to play too. He'll play all day if he gets the chance to. LOL I'll be out there next time though for sure. Looking forward to seeing more people paly out there. It's the perfect place:)

I'll save oregon tournament playing for another visit. I'll only be in that area for 1 week; I'll probably play Westmorland.

I've got a friend just starting - her first toss will be in Eugene!
I'd love to get a group going!

-Sam.
