Worst day of disc golf...ever?

So, today, I headed out to the local course with my dad. I knew right off the bat it was gunna be a bad day, it was windy and I couldn't make a putt.. I threw my dragon into the water, but it floated, so I was okay. Still missing putts. I decide I'm going to try to throw like tim does, with my champ sidewinder. It hits the ground and rolls straight into the water. I didn't really like that disc anyway.. Then my dad sidearms a champ beast straight into the water. :( Bye-Bye eight dollars, I g… Continue

Important, ace race and more

So, today I carpooled to the ace race. We got there about an hour and a half early to get in some practice. I was the 35th guy out of 81 to sign in! So, we get started practicing and I hit a metal right off the bat. And that got rid of all my luck :) After that I had a whole bunch of close misses and such. And our last hole was a mini hole, and I made it in practice, but never in normal game. Our TD explained to us an Idea he had. He stacked some giant wire spool things on each other, and th… Continue

Doubles...not much else...

I hadn't blogged in a while, so, I thought I'd add this for the 1 or 2 people who read my blogs. Today was our usual doubles. I was partnered with the only girl in our club/league. She throws about like me, same distance, except she is more s-curvy, and I putt different. Speaking of putts, they were on fire! I was slammin' the chains like my life depended on it! My drives on the other hand, were a mixed variety. I had a few shots that were beautiful, finally went where I wanted them. On the… Continue

Wow, pretty cool day.

So, today I decided I really need a new putter. So it was off to peru. I made it to honeybear, but it was raining a little. I went inside the store and found me a white, 149g, star aviar! 14 bucks! It came in handy during the game, made a couple of nice putts. AND I found a use for the Roc! At honeybear, there's this short 150 footer, over a ravine and the basket is in between 2 trees. I wasn't sure whether to throw a putter or what. I had a good feeling about the roc, so I went for it! I la… Continue

I'm a dufus :)

So, today was doubles for today. It was pretty fun. My destroyer drives are getting really good. I threw a 270' skip in practice, although no such luck in the game :(. I noticed that my dx putter doesn't grab the chains well. It fell out more than once. I managed to lose one disc, x-clone. But, I had a disc diver in my group, and he sold me a nameless champ clear beast. I threw it 270' too, same shot as the destroyer. I had one serious mishap. They gave me the scorecard on hole 10, and I forg… Continue

I throw a shock wave and a 180 roc for midrange ,,I know its a mind wrecker when you have a good distance to hit your three.
I prefer to throw the shockwave hard hyzer, and let it come down at a angle at the basket ,i dont like to leave my self deep behind the basket for a deep putt.

Sorry, I was hosile or something that night. I was referring to throwing styles, most people throw with their left arm downward-back, and cross over with their forearm(if rt. handed) from their shoulder towards the focal point. When people lift their left arm and pull from under it to release their discs, we call that a "chicken wing" throw, around here in Okie-land anywayz. Sorry, didn't mean any offense, just looks real funny to me. So, throw whatever works is the moto I try to follow, and I should be less opinionated about others. Sorry dude.

Dude, Yes Ben is Terry's son, why don't you have any other pictures other than just your discs? Like maybe the coarses you play or something? You camera shy too? That's funny, me too. Anyway, you had me second guessing myself on the Ben/Terry thing, but Ben cleared that up with a quickness, so count yourself as learning somethin' new today, yes, always a good thing. Take care, just wanted to rattle you a minute, sorry.

it must be the disc you are using,if you can get a destroyer to go straaight then right you are creating a massive amount of spin.
Your young and its possible that you have that bombing arm.
Try releasing the disc at 7 o clock instead of 9.imagine your throwing at a huge clock.
