A review of a couple of Colorado Courses

Step'in on up to 10 speed!

Decided I'm getting a strong enough throw to go up to some "10 speed", bigger rimmed discs. Traded the Swidewinders for Orc's, which I really like as the sidwinders were going "hard right" when I tryed to throw hard from the tee. I'm trying for a trade on Discaroo: http://www.discaroo.com a disc "trading" site to get a Starfire to step up to from the 9 speed Viking and a Monster to step up to from the 9 Speed Pro Line Firebird too. Just Throw'in

It's been a bit since I've added to my blog, well been doing lot's of throw'in, mostly at Widefield Community Park DG Course, LOL, the score never seems to improve much, a stroke or two. Picked up a couple more Birdies but the elusive ACE doesn't seem to be in my bag! ;) Been doing a monthly Clean Up of the DG area of the park, it's amazing how lazy players can be, sometimes there's a trash can right on the tee but they still leave their trash all over, grrrrrrrrrr! :( It's sure nice to see som… Continue

Expo Park in the MUDD!! :O, 02/16/08

Well we finally got to get a chance to play on a course up towards Denver, it's the Expo Park DG course located in Aurora, CO. A really nice course in a very pretty park setting but it's got a lot shorter holes and very few trees, compared to our home course, (Widefield Park DG). Waiting for the SUN!!

The Doors (ya I'm OLD), had a great song called waiting for the SUN, but I've notice that it applies to "non-league/club" disc golf'ers too. Today, while running our club's Sunday FUN League, I noticed a LOT of "independent" DG'ers. out of the course for the first time, yep we hit around 50 today but there were a lot of high clouds, that kept out the sun till the back 9.

If you play Arvada, there's another in Westminster, which is like Expo in the sense that it's a new course with tiny trees and open spaces, and a lake. If you want a fun tourney, travel to Ft. Morgan for the High Plains Challenge.
